Re: NGD: One guitar to rule them all
Don't get me wrong, I do like the Iceman! I just wish my other guitars could get more of a look-in, it's daft how much more solid it is for live shows.

Re: NGD: One guitar to rule them all
I really wasn’t sold until I scrolled down far enough to see it next to the Guild bass, they really are quite a pair and somehow compliment each other so well.

Re: After some new guitar inspiration
It's actually these three that caught my eye ( 1 , 2 , 3 ). Last one is a bit of a wildcard, haha. Not that I'm currently in the market anyway, or even really approaching 40, and of course by the year 2033 the internet will have collapsed, we'll be in the midst of the water wars and my main priority ...

Re: After some new guitar inspiration
I've always liked the idea of a birth year guitar for a birthday purchase. If you're struggling to find options on the market as is, that would probably be an unnecessary constraint but you could potentially find something in the sort of 'affordable vintage' category if you were willing to look ...

NPD - Donner Beltway
I've been on the lookout for a basic looper for the noise-wall interludes during Thank live sets.
I used to use a couple of chained Boss DD3s, which was effective but felt kind of stale after a while — I don't know about you but I can spot the sound of a digital delay with the feedback on full a ...

Re: pictures of your gear here
Ha! I mean admittedly it was written before we moved here, but the one brand new song we've just added to our set is noticeably jollier than our average.
Do you reckon the community will follow you over? Or I suppose life moves on, and there's a brilliant new community to be built here?

Re: pictures of your gear here
It is essentially an office to be honest, haha, so not exactly the most rock and roll environment. It kind of looks like a classroom, in fact, so maybe that's what's freaking you out!

Re: pictures of your gear here
We moved into our new temporary (???) practice space today, and I've got mixed feelings about it.
Long story short, the building where we've rehearsed for the past couple of years didn't have power for December, January and half of February. We were back in action for a month, and then in mid-March ...

Re: After some new guitar inspiration
God this thread has reignited my desire to get a custom Gordon Smith built eventually. A hideously ugly single humbucker SG in graffiti yellow, I reckon.

Chat Pile Rig Rundown
I'm not sure how many of you guys are into Chat Pile, but if you aren't already a fan then you should be. It's pretty amazing to see a band of their size doing a Rig Rundown, and there's some really interesting tidbits in here! Check out that T40, if nothing else.

This is ace! Nice one Paul. Assuming it hasn't yet sold out by the end of the month I think this will be a payday treat for me.

Re: Epiphone LP Special SL/Melody Maker E1
I had one of these for a while (same colour and everything) and I regret selling it, I just wasn't super in love with the sound compared to my Tele and Iceman so it wasn't getting the amount of play it deserved. Enjoy!
