I'm not a tweed fan, but these are classy... I am a tweed fan, but the fact that it's a case (presumably for "touring") kind of puts me off, because the idea of me taking an entire rack full of guitars on tour is just so, so, so funny. I can't take it seriously. Also, the main point of th...

I thought only the newer 250 reissues were true bypass. Could be wrong though.

This is really disappointing because I've always stood by and recommended Classic Vibes. Hopefully a one-off and not an overall decline in quality for the range.

The bare wire is actually PINCHED beneath the bridge post's receptacle and the body. I couldn't tell you if the underside of that is scraped or not without removing it which I am NOT about to do. So I'm pretty sure this means I need to take it in unless any body has ideas that don't involve things ...

Good luck! You can’t really do any harm. I’d try to coil it like a spring or scrunch it up as that will help it keep contact and be self supporting. My Gretsch has this exact problem.

Check that ground to bridge

Take the bridge out and use your phone torch and a pair of tweezers to fish out the wire a bit so when you screw the bridge back in it will definitely make contact, they’re not soldered and it probs has settled or been pushed down over time

Sorry edit

Nice! I’ve thought about getting gold foil soap bars for my goldtop for a while. The way exchange rate, tax and shipping from the US goes nowadays I might as well buy local boutique instead of gfs

Be interested in hearing your thoughts!

I tried a 68 deluxe reverb today. Sounds amazing and I love the bassman channel but it breaks up far too early. Like comically early. It does the volume knob clean up thing really well but I don’t think cleans would compete with a drummer at all. Still havent found a vibrolux but if the delux...

Does the Peavey Classic series have the same reliability issue with the PCB mounted input jack? Google image search says yes (tdpri URLs won't let me embed properly), but I don't think it's actually much of an issue. HRDXs are the most used guitar amp on earth and used by countless venues and by co...

Wow, I'm surprised the Deville 410s are so light. They seem like a pretty good bet for what you're after at the price.

The Classic 510 is quite a bit heavier and approaching a Twin in weight.

Classic player Jag. The TOM bridge makes it way more reliable and the jag trem is still the best Fender offers, in my opinion. My custom has the same bridge/trem configuration and I can play a show of two or three 45 minute to one hour sets using the trem a lot and not need to tune it except to get ...

I think the classic players got it right with the tailpiece position and resulting break angle, and TOM, but the neck angle (shimming) is then baked into the design by virtue of having a TOM. I know some people like the vintage bridge but it ain’t for me. And buzz stops are ugly. So ugly that...
