It sits, waiting for me to finally decide which bridge/pickups to use.

It is not forgotten.

Compstang porn is always welcome. :)

Meh. It's all been done to death, or maybe I've been around these parts too long. We were looking at Jazzmaster copies 15 years ago on JS.Com, it's become a bit boring. I do like some G&L stuff but I'm not feeling it with these. I'm with Fran. It looks like some Hohner JT60, Stagg or Jay Turser...

The hot pink fade SG and LP are truly, truly vile, and I usually love pink guitars.

I assume two of the knobs are their treble/bass cut circuit like on the S500. Looks like those are MFD pickups, either Jazzmaster-sized(!) or under jazzmaster covers. I'm running out the door right now so I can't really do much searching; where's the info on these things?

Great to see things recycled but the prices just cancel out any goodness in these projects. They just become something else for all the rich bastards to hoover up. Yup. I have a Bethlehem Steel - Los Angeles crate much like this one sitting at home; I think I need to make a Telecaster out of it. Ma...

With regards to the handle:

This is the thing I designed/cut/drilled for:

I've used the opportunity to start learning Fusion. I intend to print it at the local nerdspace.

I think I'm turned off by the fact that they're sooo ridiculously close to being melody makers, yet have a seemingly-needlessly expanded pickguard... bulb? Butt? I dunno. It's like an uncanny valley thing.

I give them infinite props for not relicking the Bowery guitars. Tinting the neck is borderline but forgivable.

The kiln-drying process disrupts the natural realignment of the wood's TONE MOLECULES. Christ.

The Bowery guitars look neat, though.

It's kinda amusing how musicians have long discussions/arguments and are sometimes prepared to pay over the odds when it comes to "the guitar sounds better when it's made out of [this sort of wood] or [that sort of wood]..." but now it's expected that people will pay big bucks for a guita...

That looks way better than it should. Onward! Speaker baffle: http://i.imgur.com/0U8r6U3.jpg Wood filler. Back baffle: http://i.imgur.com/kINj601.jpg Wood filler. Things are ugly. Let's try to make them less ugly, a little, maybe. Go back over the edges with the roundover bit: http://i.imgur.com/laTGSAm.jpg Pause for selfie with the nerdpace's mantra: http://i.imgur.com/mUoaTLs.jpg Spend untold hours sanding, scraping, chiseling, etc.: http://i.imgur.com/5CUD...

They've pretty much disappeared now. Oh well!

Also their mustang-lookin tenor and mandocasters seem like they could be fun.

I've danced back and forth over buying one of these forever. It's always been some bizarre naive preconceived dealbreaker, like the 9.5" radius or strat trem. That's silly. I should get one.

Your guitar is very pretty. :)
