I was just wondering why this amp isn't as loud as I imagined it to be. I can turn the master knob up to 5 and volume up to 6 and it's still pretty much bedroom levels. I couldn't crank the deluxe master volume past 2 most of the time. maybe the tubes are old? or is it just the amp? The power tubes ...

http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii26/wcm8/IMG_0046.jpg I love mine. Think of these amps as a sonic canvas -- they take pedals extremely well, let the character of different guitars really go through, and don't color the signal with too much of their own compression/distortion. I play on the vibr...

it's pretty awesome. when I was the guy's house, the reverb made such a lound hum, i could barely stand it. but I overcame that and bought it anyway. when I tried it in my basement, there was no hum from the reverb! miracle.

I actually have a celestion vintage 30 speaker in my hot rod, so it doesn't need replacing imo. And I don't really need tube break up in my amp, I'll get a good boost pedal soon. A blues driver or a MBM Saltbooster. This price for a twin reverb is quite appealing here in canada, other twin reverbs g...

Need More Amp Advice NOW WITH PIC!!!! (answered)

So I've experimented with my Hot Rod Deluxe and I found it to sound kinda dry, not enough tone. So I've decided to sell it and buy an Orange Tiny Terror or something better. Since I bought my Hot Rod for $400, I put it up for $650. A guy is gonna check it out tomorrow to see if he likes it, for $600...

You cant remove the SG because it is one of the 4 prominent and most used electric guitars, or most popular. People will not know a Rickenbacker as well as they do an SG. **insert early Beatles based defense here** I knew what a rick bass looked like before I really got into guitars, so, keep it. a...

still use nylons (.38) for my acoustic and nothing else feels as good. i might use a .46 on my electrics but i always have a .38 with me. doesn't really help you though.

yeah, the singer has a cyclone but the lead guitar player has a mustang. i played some hybrid rainbow on my overly priced local guitar shop's mustangs and it sounded pretty sweet. now all i need is a blues driver and a giant orange amp. [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnhEFFcAs-w&feature...

well, i bought it a week ago and it sounds pretty good. it doesn't break up early, around 7 on the overdrive knob and then it's too loud for my basement. i'm thinking of buying a big muff and an epiphone sheraton II to go along with it. might post some pics later.
