Re: Trying Squier Paranormal Guitars

I just played that exact Gretsch when I was playing the Paranormal guitars. Both pickups were really good. I think parring a P90 and a humbucker together is brilliant. I had yet to find a humbucker I like and that bridge humbucker was awesome. The sound was very clear and direct. For the price, its ...

Trying Squier Paranormal Guitars

I have a nice set of Offset guitars (JM, Jaguar, Mustang, Bronco) but I have been wanting to try some of the new Squier Offerings in the Paranormal Series. Not long ago, I tried the Seafoam Green Metallic Toronado. The guitar played decent though the pickups were not that great and would definitely ...

It's not as big as the pictures might portray.

4 or 5 pedals at most.

Re: Building a mini Kurdt pedalboard

I made a little progress on this board. I have been looking at lots of used gear lately. I just ordered a very used BOSS tU-2 tuner(currently in route) and also picked up a used pedalboard. Hopefully I can get a little more before my niece comes for a visit. http://live.staticflickr.com/65535/520722...

Re: pictures of your gear here

I keep messing with my pedalboard. I picked up a EHX Glove OD to fill the sonic gap between my MBM Saltbreaker/Saltbooster and Fuzzface/Big Muffs. http://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52044529215_fb2d7bb7ca.jpg Untitled by Joey , on Flickr I pulled the Black Russian Muff off the pedalboard since I am ...

Re: Jonzing for Squier '22 line

I swear Fender have a remit to make Squier NEARLY perfect, but they gotta meet the 'FENDER BETTER THAN SQUIER' company line, so they fuck up an aesthetic detail or two to uphold the class system Maybe they just assume you will change out the pickups anyway. I wonder if they have to do it to differe...

Cheap Cable Management for your Pedalboard

I had been wanting to secure the power and long instrument cables under my Pedaltrain. I found these on Amazon and they work pretty well. It could be a little more clean underneath but I may have to buy some different length power cables or reroute some to cables in different directions. Self Adhesi...

Re: Boss RE-2 Space Echo (and RE-202!)

Face it, playing with IRL knobblies is more fun . Put that on my headstone. I've got a HX Stomp full of models, and yet I'm still pumped about picking up and trying pedals, especially those with built-in functionality that let you further fuck with parameters in real time. Have actually been scopin...

Re: NAD - Fender 68 Custom Vibrolux Reverb

I just grabbed a used Fender ABY pedal to compare the Custom Channel to the Vintage Channel. I had to play at lower volumes (3) due to sleeping kids so the differences were not quite as obvious. I had the treble at 8 and bass at 6. Custom channel has a little more bass/mid response. Vintage channel ...

Re: NAD - Fender 68 Custom Vibrolux Reverb

First impressions: Reverb: It's the best Spring Reverb I have heard on a Fender Amp. Very Smooth and sounds great around 5 to 6 when I played it. Tremolo: It's also very smooth. I want to compare it to my vintage Vibro Champ and see how the circuits differ. Both work great with the provided foot swi...

NAD - Fender 68 Custom Vibrolux Reverb

My amp hunt has come to a very successful conclusion. I put out a feeler on Craigslist in the local area and had someone respond last week. I didn't hear from him for a week but today he texted me back and I purchased his amp from him. It's basically been sitting in his house since he bought it and ...

Great work, love that B/W 'Stang and all ❤️ 3) I couldn't get the springs off the Mustang Vibrato posts so I will try it next time I restring the guitar. You can always totally unscrew the posts from the 'cigar' with the right allan key in the top, and reposition the springs while stuff is dismantl...
