Don't get me wrong I love bound guitars and think it would look far better bound, but I think it would be a mistake getting one bound as it's a limited run guitar and its a no brainer that collectors are going to pay good moneys for them in the future.I don't know how long you'll keep hold of it but...

Iv got a rocktron compressor
I think it was the first pedal I bought when I was 12 or something
It's in a boss style enclosure, I broke the battery cover top bit
I think it was due to abuse rather than general wear and tear.
I still use it when I record clean stuff sometimes.
Really good value though
