Doing the mods aren't a problem. I'm looking at getting one for about $250, and putting about $200 into it. That's a steal if Fender USA parts will fit on this thing. I want it in Olympic White. I have seen a couple of Fender Japan Olympic white ones, but they are going for $1,200 or more.

I have been eye balling one for about a year. I have the idea of just swapping the trem and bridge for Fender Japan parts, or American if they will fit. Upgrading pots, and putting the Duncan Hot for Jazzys in there. I have TOM bridges on my Mustangs, Jagstang, and my Jaguars, but this one I want to...

Squier VM Jazzmaster

What's your verdict on these? Has anyone swapped the Squier stuff out for Fender on one yet?

I just made the holes bigger for CTS pots to fit on mine. One Mustang I have has a newer control plate on it that had the holes the right size for CTS.

Now bad news..... UPS delivered it today, and the box was destroyed looking. Aaron opened it up, and the entire front are where the knobs are was caved in. We contacted Orange immediately and they issued a return label and we shipped it back. They are going to send a brand new one out to us pronto. ...

Update! Orange had us ship the head back to them in Atlanta, they paid for shipping, fixed whatever was wrong with it, FREE OF CHARGE! Out of warranty no less. Only took them about a week and a half.

Warmoth bodies are great. I built a Fiesta Red KC Mustang out of one before the actual Fender line came out. It's one of my favorite guitars. haha I prefer the sonic blue one ,and that's my baby :) http://fmn.rrimg.com/fmn065/20130219/2010/original_xZV2_2b1d0000237b1191.jpg I actually have both. I ...

I'd play it. Although it won't sound like a Les Paul, it would still sound and play good. More than likely it's the same stop piece and TOM from the Japan Jag HH Special(Gotoh). Would be a great player for me.

Surprisingly quick response on the next email. They are sending a box and want to take a look at the head. They said it could be part of the line that was faulty, they aren't sure since the serial number doesn't match any they have previously seen this happen to. They didn't give a time frame on how...

I'm hoping not. We practiced last night at low volume and ran him direct through the PA. Sucked because the feel was so much different.

After doing some research, I have found out that there was a bad batch of these in the year his was produced where the FET was going bad and causing main fuses to blow. Orange replied with a repair form.... So we are still in a wait and see pattern..

Right. With these amps they don't have power tubes, but there is 2 12ax7's in there. I haven't opened it up yet for inspection. I normally work on Mesa's and Fender's, never have touched an Orange before. I did read that there was a bad batch of them in the year his was manufactured. He doesn't have...
