My thoughts exactly!

Lovely looking guitar, I've always wanted to try one out.

This is the one, more bling!

I ordered a KC 3-way Jag plate from this place, but they do them pretty much however you want:

Re: 60th Anniversary Jaguars

I'm really disappointed by these guitars :( I actually started saving early last year to allow me to be able to afford whatever they were releasing for the 60th anniversary. Alas, the gaudy finish and blocks isn't to my taste and I already have an AO, the only difference is the 7,25" radius, ri...

60th Anniversary Jaguars

£2500, limited quantities available. 'Mystic' versions of some classic colours; dakota red and lake placid blue. http://i.ibb.co/720RttD/Screenshot-20220126-055327.png http://i.ibb.co/rdDz0pp/Screenshot-20220126-055340.png Not much on specs yet other than 60th anniversary pickups. I wouldn't be surp...

Yeah I'm into it. I don't think it's a colour I'd pick for myself, but it's easy on the eye.

Re: I just bought a compressor

Dynacomps are an old design, with no clean blend, so they're notoriously squishy and only really good for country chicken pickin (or so I'm lead to believe!)

Re: I just bought a compressor

I got a Keeley Compressor Mini recently as I've started playing more percussive rhythm guitar and felt that I needed a bit of compression just to tighten everything up. I now leave it on all the time, set fairly low and it has a fair bit of clean signal blended in to make it sound natural. I went to...

Re: NGD - Fender American Professional II Jazzmaster - LH

Gorgeous looking guitar, congratulations!
I'd say it's been sold before and returned to the store, and then the store has sold it on again rather than send it back to Fender. Hopefully you'll get a nice partial refund and everyone's happy.

How are the new V-Mod pickups?

Sounds good but this is a DMM in name and looks only - that’ll be DSP based without BBD chips Not that there is anything wrong with that of course All analogue, no idea what BBD chips are used but I would imagine surface mount. EHX say it's quieter than the XO enclosure so there's some upgra...

I've looked into and been tempted by TheGigRig stuff (Quartermaster as I don't need all that crazy MIDI functionality). Not sure what the availability of that stuff is in the US though, but worth a look if you can get hold of it.

That's good to know, thanks. I'd never looked into the validity of my assumptions, just went with my gut so it's nice to know I don't have to be quite so anal about these things. I seem to remember Puisheen saying how guitars should be intonated in the playing position rather than laid down, but I g...

I got my string-a-lee gauge Both Jaguars just needed a little slackening of the trussrod as I had very little relief when measuring it with the old capo 1, 17th fret, measure at the 8th method. Not really sure there is a noticeable difference in the playing as a result of it, but at least I am PERI...

http://i.ibb.co/hZX8jmb/20210523-080716.jpg Usually my board changes weekly, but I have been settled on this setup for a good few months now including a couple of gigs and recording sessions. The TI Boost and Centura are always on for giving a fat boost to my signal, sending any warm tube amp into ...

All Specials have two pickups (single pickup version is a Junior) and that is pretty blatantly an Iommi-themed model/cleverer purchase than any model that actually has his name on it. This does actually have his name on the back of the headstock, it's a new model they've released. Iommi SG The more...

Yeah, that one's cool.. though it's a Special with two pickups. Iommi's called Monkey and they made a Custom Shop limited run for $20 000 a piece - ridiculous money for any new guitar. More of a collector's thing to resell it in twenty years for god knows what kind of money. The one you posted is a...

I've just received a blue sparkle super-sonic and was thinking about P90s as too. I've had the DiMarzio bluesbucker recommended to me, and I've been looking at the Mississippi Queen by Bareknuckle. I love the zebra stripe aesthetic of the stock pickups so might give a bluesbucker a try. Apparently ...

I was so close to getting a supersonic last time around, but the finishes didn't do it for me. The blue sparkle is magnificent, I've just ordered one for myself after realising I don't own any humbucker guitars anymore. I'm not holding out hope the pickups will be any good, so I'll give it a proper ...
