Re: Pedalboard modellers: Whats your pick?
I looked at the Fractal but 900 is too strong for the FM3, and then new FM3 TURBO is like 1700 bucks. I just don't got that sorta juice for dicking around in my boudoir and then some jazz gigs y'know?

Re: Pedalboard modellers: Whats your pick?
OK I drank way too much coffee and blew my load lads, someone on Reverb.com offered me 100 bucks off a GT-1000CORE and I ate that shit up like sweet, sweet doodoo butter. 500 Simoleons shipped. I promise myself to put my other pedals on teh verbz to make up for the indiscretions against my wallet. A...

Re: Pedalboard modellers: Whats your pick?
I'm sort of confused why you're asking about this whilst selling the Helix LT in the Classifieds. Am I missing something about what the Helix LT does? I assumed the Stomp was the same thing, minus the amps modellers? Too big. I want to put the Helix in a teenie weenie box on my main pedalboard and ...

Re: Pedalboard modellers: Whats your pick?
I am enjoying all the Line6 M-series love in here. I was very jealous of everyone that had one a few years back and it's nice to know they are good and still good - L6 definitely have a few products like that now, DL4/MM4 still appearing on boards around the world 15-20 years on, I imagine these wil...

Re: Pedalboard modellers: Whats your pick?
Are you looking to use it as amp as well? How much of a signal tinkerer are you? The headrush was pretty fun and pretty easy to use. Ive had the fractal fm3 and now have the fender tonemaster pro. Fractal wins for tones and fender hands down for usability/user flow.. but those are a ways over your ...

Pedalboard modellers: Whats your pick?
I've been looking at the Line6 HX Stomp (or Stomp XL) for a while now and I'm getting close to buying time; however last night I was looking at some of the competition and the Boss GT1000CORE and the Headrush Gigboard both look really excellent... What would be your pick in the 500-700 buck multi-fx...

Re: SoCal Amp repair?
it's a dying art, especially in SoCal in my experience. i've still yet to get my marshall up to Orange County to the one authorized repair shop within 90 minutes of here (the one in Riverside closed, and the North County San Diego guy said he couldn't work on it). Mickie, if you've got a guy, i'm a...

SoCal Amp repair?
Howdy y'all, need to get the PRS Sonzera 20 I bought serviced as there's a bloody great hole in one of the tubes - I can see it from the back of the amp. It's also humming like a fridge which is probably why the guy was selling for 400 bucks instead of the normal 500-550ish. Overall it's a nice amp ...

Woodrite Switchblade
I think I may have just came: http://doesitdoom.com/product/switchblade/ I never knew I needed an SG crossed with a Jazzmaster/Jaguar, but now I know that like crossing over the event horizon of a black hole that this guitar is inescapably in my future. http://doesitdoom.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/...

Nickel Body Resonator (Please help)
Guys they dropped my fucking resonator and the neck snapped moving to my new house. The movers were insured and it's cool, I got decent money for it but... arghhhhh what do I do? Can you repair these guitars? Can I take the neck off some how? Please help, I'm really out of my depth here and I don't ...

Re: Black Jazzmaster Project
Finally, its over. Coinciding with my citizenship, this guitar is fully functional. Sounds absolutely wonderful, I've been lugging shit around all day so too tired to do any videos, but I've been learning some 70's Soul and Motown, stuff like the Spinners - I'll Be Around. The neck pos really nails ...

It was 100 buckaroos also, so I think the whole job cost about $300 overall, with paint and sanders and equipment for the body.

Re: Black Jazzmaster Project
So it transpires that somehow I've lost the decal and the nut I had for it, and going to a guitar store didn't help in the "finding tuners that fit" stakes. What I did find is a dude with 100s of decent reviews just up the road from me that is going to fit the slightly wider tuners I have ...

Re: Black Jazzmaster Project
It dents insanely easy, I'm gonna hit it again with a can of clear coat... but like, it has two cans of clear on it and I'm like how much do I need to do? My Pacifica 112 cost 110GBP in 2003 has done 400 gigs, flown to other countries, has had one pickup replacement and has minimal dents for what i...

Re: 2amp rigs with added bass
Also: http://www.headrushfx.com/products/frfr-112-frfr112xus The Headrush FRFR 112 is probably also a contender for my modern day stereo rig. Reasons: 1) I have one for my L6 Helix and it's ungodly loud, I got to around 6 of 10 on the dial on the back before getting into "too loud" territo...

Re: Black Jazzmaster Project
Like all good projects I took a hiatus to dump my girlfriend, move cities and all that other good shit. WE HAVE SOME PROGRESS THOUGHT U FUCKERS! I got shit wired up over the weekend, splicing together the GFS harness and the old stuff that was in there before and fitting a new ground wire which was ...

Re: 2amp rigs with added bass
I used to run two amps back in 2010s era went something like: Guitar with humbuckers | Pedalboard: interesting part was DD-6 with delay time turned all the way down for stereo split and some thiccccness | Laney GH50L -> Eminence 2x12 in a birch ply cab Fender FM100H -> 1x15 pedal steel Eminence spea...

Re: New Pedalboard lfg
Definitely some mad deals out there as far as credit goes. I also deeeefinitely need to stop spending money on this stuff... even if I am playing a lot of guitar lately again which is nice. Not just because of the gear but cos I'm genuinely finding it good for my mental health to pick goals and head...
