Building a UniVibe

After fooling around with Garageband, I have finally determined that I absolutely need a univibe pedal of some sort. I have been looking at the deja vibe and the new ehx good vibes. However, they aren't cheap, so I'm thinking I'll pull a Brian May. Will it be cheaper to build and how much of a pain ...

I actually went from a jazz bass to a sting ray. The p-bass neck probably won't feel very different TBH; I believe Fender uses the same profile for both jazz and p-basses. The sound will be different with a p-bass, but you won't have the variety that you get with a jazz bass. I went for the sting ra...

he should be able to get some decent beef from that pickup, though. even if it is original and, therefore, a little mellower in tone, this sounds more to me like there could be a loose wire under the guard. a ground could easily be off or missing. are you comfortable opening it up and inspecting th...

I rewired my cousins tele deluxe with 500k pots and it made all the difference for like $8. They are really clear now and cut through the mix very well.

My fears have been confirmed. I just shelled out a ton of money on an amp building project, so currently my funds are inexistent. Fuck money.

I thought my question was pretty clear. I didn't know enough to make an informed decision and didn't want to fuck myself to death. Irrelevant now, as I bought it for $50. Lucky bastard. If you can fix that up and getting it playing like new, those are phenomonal guitars. Cobascis had one a few mont...
