I think they’ve renamed it the Dual-Phase now but changed nothing else about it. Likely the same route they’ll take with their Centaur pedal.Doog wrote: Sat Feb 04, 2023 4:46 pm I can't believe how far Behringer took cribbing the aesthetics of these Mu-Trons... actually, I guess I can

Re: 1959 Guyatone "Star" LG-60
Yeah, they put those on LP Juniors now too. I think I have one on my old Melody Maker but have an SG with the “SG Junior” compensated bridge, which is made for a wound G.

+1 looks like it, don’t know how I didn’t spot that. I have wound G sets but don’t like using a wound G on electrics.

Sweet! The red looks pretty good despite the brushstrokes.
I love my old Guyatone-made Kent Polaris I, obviously not as cool as yours. Good luck with the resto!

Re: Noisy DOD pedal
Ok, got it sorted by taking my board apart and putting it back together piece by piece. Kind of annoying that I still don’t know what the problem was but a huge relief to not have the noise going, especially with that new Tele-style build I did which was competing for volume with it.

Looks great, a Duo II/hardtail Mustang has always been a dream guitar of mine and I love the Laces too.

Re: Surfpine Wavecaster
Yeah I wouldn’t mind wiring an Esquire switch in, but didn’t have one, or the other caps (or a clean way to cut the pickguard). Maybe someday though!

Surfpine Wavecaster
Not sure on the name but I think that’s what the guy I bought the homemade body from years ago called it.

Hm, the noise still persists and now I don’t know what the hell is going on except that the individual pedals are ok.

Re: Noisy DOD pedal
Yeah, I apologize for posting a pic of the pedal instead of a video of the noise issue.
Anyway, I’m now not so sure this isn’t an issue with my power supply but this would mean a problem with my Deucetone Rat, which is much more expensive. Boo, but I can at least rig up a workaround.

Noisy DOD pedal
My FX65 Chorus pedal is putting out a solid whine sound when bypassed that I don’t remember from a few years ago when I bought it.
Things I’ve tried include disconnecting it from my OneSpot adapter and using a battery instead, as well as switching the cables out for my nicer shielded ones, but it ...

Re: Epiphone LP Special SL/Melody Maker E1
I believe they can typically be replaced with Strat pickups, although not all of those are created equal so it can be a tight fit in the pickguard sometimes according to a video by 60 Cycle Hum about a guitar he's since smashed "for charity".

Really wanted one of these a few months back, don’t think it’s in the budget now, though. Looks nice!

Epiphone LP Special SL/Melody Maker E1
Love it. Got the yellow one as it was intended to replace my DIY LP DC Junior that I accidentally backed my car over about a year ago (pictured is my other one). I think mine had a bit of setup before being shipped as it has no business playing so well. Sounds great plugged in too, has a bratty ...

Import switchcraft copies
Bought a Chinese right-angle 3-way toggle to fix up an SG; had never seen these before (or maybe they were actually posted about here) but they’re nice and cheap.
For the record, a standard 3-way import toggle is slightly too thick for a Gibson SG, it’ll push the backplate out.
