A really sweet combo of features, it should really rock :) . Are you gonna string it with 11s? I use the D'Addario Jazz set on my 24 incher (EXL-1153D), a great feel/sound IMO

Of course you may not like a little twang, but I like to toss things up on a rails, 500K volume, 250K tone, and a .022 or .033 cap, depending on what I'm going for

Do you own the property Adam? You should build a real shop, it makes a world of a difference. I do actually, but being British seems to be a bit of a disadvantage when it comes to house prices and space. My poor excuse for a pay packet does no favours either! My back yard seriously is 6' x 14', tho...

I would consider a mini humbucker, it has a smaller footprint on the smaller body and there are literally tons of good ones out there. I'd get a vintage wind, nothing too hot. GFS has regular and retrotron type of all kinds, but there are of course lots of others. Good luck on your mods and please p...

It's funny how the various copies are a legit part of the story of this guitar because nobody has ever seen an original. I really like the design of this guitar and I think it lends itself to different headstock shapes. http://www.gibson.com/Files/aaFeaturesImages2009/moderne1.jpg I agree, though I...

Re: anyone know the chords to this song?

the song is "dont mess with cupid". a song Otis Redding, the dolls, and the heartbreakers did. I can't find the chords anywhere. anyone know em? I searched all over, and this is the best I could do. Hopefully you can work it out from the music :) [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dP...

Looks better already. Finally got all the BB’s out of the trem routes. I’d like to find the genius who glued them in and give him back his BBs one shot at a time. LOL. Seriously, why in the hell would they put BBs in there? Truly bizarre. “Never ascribe to malice that which can adequately be ...

Hate to hear your packing it in, but it could be saved if you like. Go to Woodcraft and get a scraper and finish stripping the body. You can grain-fill and ready for primer quite cheaply. Go to Walmart and buy a quart of lightweight spackle (yes, like you'd use for sheetrock) and then an acrylic pai...

That's good to hear Billy. How was it for finger picking and moving around the fret board? I can't believe this telephone conversation I just had with my music shop: Me: "Hi I'm wondering if you have any 12 string Rickenbackers in stock?" "Let me check. Yes we have 4 in stock." ...

Although this would not be my pickup combo of choice, I really like Swingers/Musiclanders, as have most people that have posted this thread. Kinda confused here

FWIW, I would change as little as possible. Redo the finish on the body, the pickguard that came with it or your choice. I believe all of these bridges will work, and would contribute to a clean, mean look,

Cheap? Offbrand? The radius on most strats (and more than a few Teles) are 9.5", genuine Fender parts

Allparts sells a harmonica bridge like the original Marauders have. I hope to score one of those I believe guitarpartsresource has it somewhat cheaper. It's the original Gotoh bridge EDIT, here is the link, Bridge BTW, I looked over the allparts and can't find the one you mean. Found "SG type&...

I'm not really picky about the year. What you have right there will be just fine. I'm making my own neck with a custom 23" scale (it's what I'm used to in short scales) so the body template with the routs will be more than enough. I'll adjust the pickguard and so forth to compensate. Your gener...

Musicmaster Template

I'm looking for a PDF template for the Musicmaster. I checked the "sticky" at the beginning of this forum and did not find the Musicmaster or the Duo Sonic, which I could have used I guess. I checked the link to the German page in the "sticky" and found the Duo Sonic but still no...
