Re: Pedalboard modellers: Whats your pick?
Are you looking to use it as amp as well? How much of a signal tinkerer are you? The headrush was pretty fun and pretty easy to use. Ive had the fractal fm3 and now have the fender tonemaster pro. Fractal wins for tones and fender hands down for usability/user flow.. but those are a ways over your p...

Re: SoCal Amp repair?
it's a dying art, especially in SoCal in my experience. i've still yet to get my marshall up to Orange County to the one authorized repair shop within 90 minutes of here (the one in Riverside closed, and the North County San Diego guy said he couldn't work on it). Mickie, if you've got a guy, i'm a...

Re: First song recorded with our current band
Giving it a listen now. Sounds. Id bump the bass just a tad (not a ton) but could be my speakers as they are not that great. Cool song, cool voice. Good mix of guitar work. Sounds funny but my wife is a dance teacher and loves doing modern/lyrical dances to this type music and the dynamics of it are...

Re: SoCal Amp repair?
Jeff Snyder was always the guy in N County SD. Let me check. My old guitarist works at a shop in Vista and I am pretty sure Jeff does their work. Not sure if you are closer to LA or SD. I can ask around some friends about LA (One guy I know in particular will no quality people for sure)

Re: Fender Tonemaster Pro
Got it yesterday and ran it through paces this am. Its pretty amazing. Sounds are great. Maybe not quite fractal/nueral quad level but pretty damned good. In a live setting band mix they will easily.do they job Presets are solid. But if course eveeyone will tweak them Ease of use on the interface is...

Re: When Heroes Die (feat. T.i.M) by Saturday's Child
finally got a chance to check this out. Cool stuff. Obviously some departure from the norm (not always a bad thing) and you can definitely still here Sat Child in there! So... Cool tune. Even more so that you got to share it with a family member.

Re: Fender Tonemaster Pro
So this is a Tone Master Pro. I’ve been seeing talk about these but assumed it was a solid state pro reverb like the Deluxe Reverb and Twin. And last I heard a Headrush was a (somewhat dated) Looper by Akai Correct on the Pro. Headrush has more than loopers now (and yeah,. it is Akai). They actuall...

Re: Fender Tonemaster Pro
Yeah, that looks great. Didn't know you could put acoustic through it, but I suppose it would be strange if you couldn't. I was at a wedding recently and the guitarists and bassist were all going through helixes. Sounded really, really good. They also had an electric drum kit. Drummer had a tiny mi...

Fender Tonemaster Pro
Well. Given its getting closer to tax time (write offs) and I had some credits due me anyways, I ordered one of these. Should be here Tuesday. I have tried Fractal (too complicated for me) Headrush (not bad but limited to me) and some of the cheaper options (mooer, etc). With the new 90s band kickin...

Re: NG(s)D
Nice! Which one’s yours? The Jr and Dread. The 335 style is for my lead guitarist (though I am going to order either an Eastman Juliet (original model), An sb56 (goldtop p90 Les Paul), or a T64v. Full hollow 335 type with dog ears and bigsby. Couldnt decide yesterday. I have an artist relationship ...

Re: Strat wiring question
Hlysht, love it! (The guitars and the band idea) Thanks. This was a squier 40th anniversary model I got on clearance so its a fun and versatile guitar that looks cools and I can take and not worry about. I have been pretty skeptical on taking the customs ones out to bars much. They just are not rep...

Re: Strat wiring question
So it's just standard toggle, standard volume/tone/tone, but with those push-pull pots that give all the options? A bit awkward, but quite useful. Nice guitar. Thanks. It is a strange setup for sure. And I am not one who will likely be switching mid song much so thats easy. The pots are strange as ...

Re: Strat wiring question
yep. Didn't explain it quite right. Did get it sorted out. Starting a 90s band with some friends and wanted a bit more dirty/aggressive strat but with a lot of tonal options for that (will likely be using a fractal fm3 sound wise). Still have my custom strat and tele but wanted something less $$ and...

Re: Strat wiring question
So. Forgot about this post.
What i was looking for was to have push pull pots to tap neck and bridge buckers as well as 3rd push pull to activate bridge pup at any time.
Almost there. Still needs a little setup.

Strat wiring question
Ok. So bought a 40th anniversary squier strat. I have a set of Seymour Duncan pickups. Mini JB, mini 59 and a duckbucker for the middle. Want to wire each tone pot as push pull to tap neck and bridge pickup and wire tone know to turn on bridge pup no matter selector position. Anyone know where I can...

Re: NGD: Gretsch 5655T
Beautiful guitar. Love the green/gold. I also love having the lower bout master volume. I find it much more functional than a lot of master volume knobs myself. Great score. I have been a bit Gretsch-curious as of late and had been looking at Electromatic Jets (Les Paul style) Gretsch guitars and ki...

Re: New Squier Paranormal Range
Nice. Been eyeing them. We do a few songs that a 12 string would fit well on but I hate carrying another large bodies acoustic around and 12 string acoustics are more temperamental in my experience than electrics.
