I had the EHX Hum Debugger when I lived in a shit old house with grounding problems. It worked but added a slight metallic echo to my sound. Would not recommend. Save ur $$ and just upgrade.

If you are admittedly not good with electronics and schemes I would recommend starting with pedals. They are easier and cannot kill you.

No 50w tube amp is gonna sound great at low volume. When u get them cooking is when the magic happens. My first tube amp was a C30... it was meh at low volumes but was a solid decent amp with some volume. I never used the distortion chan ....just clean with a visual sound Jekyll & hyde. Then lat...

Proggy...... get your hands on a 5751 tube for the first pre=amp tube in the channel you use for you clean tone. Also, since you use the Fat channel for your clean that may be part of the issue. That channel has more gain and bass than the TT chan. I put a 5751 in V1 of my TH30 and it has more clean...

check the gain rating chart on the rightside of this PAGE.

It shows all of the tubes gain ratings to help pick whats best for you. Obviously less gain = more clean headroom; but in most case these will change your tone too

for V1 I would go 5751 for more clean headroom... the 12at7 will cut out some of the mids....the 5751 sounds almost identical to a 12ax7 with just 30% less gain.

I recently put a 5751 in V1 on my TH30 and it has a much better clean and takes pedals well now.....

with the meathead i see a few different issues. You included an extra horizontal row which makes you board 8x8 instead of 7x8. This may not be an issue as it looks like you did a good job of skipping the extra row, all thou I would check the bottom leg of Q1 as I cannot see where it is placed on the...

I just went thru the pics of the salt booster board and it all looks good in terms of cuts and part placement. I think the issue on that one is cold solder joints. I would go to radio shack and buy a new 30watt soldering iron for $10 and reflow all the solder joints on the board.
