Tremendous value for money, IMO. I've got four of them, and two were from their seconds closeout page. For the life of me I cannot find any flaws. They're worth buying just for the painted bodies, which are finished in UV-cured polyester and are bulletproof. The fretboard on one of my Tele alikes ha...

Is it the current neo-post-modern craze?
Everybody's in on the act, but few are qualified. The market is flooded with knockoffs and most of the "originals" are buttuglees.

My eyes hurt.

Very possibly true. The hole is positioned at the center of balance of the instrument, so it hangs neither neck nor body heavy. On my own '56 Combo 400 (according to the serial number, it is the 88th solid body Rickenbacker ever made!), the back of the guitar's body was clad with friction material. ...

Sorry, I should have been clearer about the three-piece laminated neck on that one. Only one I've seen like that. Perhaps there are more?

Haven't you posted your guitar on the Rickenbacker Resource Forum? I seem to remember it popping up there a couple of years ago. I don't recall the thread, however. It's the only Rick (if it's genuine) I've ever seen that has that odd set-in neck that shows through on the back. West Texas Red is als...

I'd say that 14 would be more accurate.

14 X 3 = (you guessed it) 42.

The Texan and the Lennon by Epi are both disappointing. Dead-sounding and feeling.

I'm loving the subtle color interplay!

I'm not a fan of the relicking, because it does look a bit contrived. Your other choices and the work in general is very nice!

Arrived from Japan, EMS, yesterday afternoon. I put a new 9V battery in, and played it for a couple of hours last night... We're up to 2K views and 104 subscribers. New vids going up this week on buffing and assembly.

Then the paint chemistry and process vids begin.

Hope these help the rattlecan guys to consider using semi-pro equipment--besides giving pro results, it's better for the environment.

YOU TUBE CHANNEL ON BUILDING AND PAINTING GUITARS

I've uploaded my first video in a series, showing topics on guitar building and painting. The production values aren't Spielberg, but the information's there, and you can even hear me over the spray booth fan! This first one covers a lot of basic ground, and ends up with me applying an amber tint to...
