Re: Boss OS-2, anyone tried one?

I had one a while back that I got for cheap to flip ages ago and I remember it sounded pretty good. It is the pedal Joey Santiago used to use in classic era Pixies.

Re: EHX Lizard Queen - First impressions

This pedal uses 2 openly available circuits that have been freely available on the DIY pedal community for a very long time.

Re: Project: Player Jaguar in mahogany

I ordered the neck from Musikraft, though since I delayed in ordering it, prices have gone up a bit. Came out a bit higher than I originally specc'd, which sucks, but it is what it is. What is the damage on a Musikraft neck these days? They have always been a premiumpricey choice but the quality of...

Re: CuNiFe all the guitars.

I feel like these should only exist as humbuckers with fender logo chrome covers buried into the body of a Mocha?(poo brown) 70's Telecaster Deluxe with the huge Strat headstock. This is not a diss, I absolutely love that combo. It's cool that Fender is branching out with different magnet options, I...

Re: Please help define Americana?

Americana is John Cougar Melloncamp. Little Pink Houses and that hand clap song Jack & Dianne. Middle America is where being slightly risque or artistically creative isn't a good career move. So they do the next best thing to sell records: blend Dylan's social commentary(watered down to platitud...

Re: Marshall Pedal Reissues

These pedals are extremely well thought of. The Shredmaster is on the first few Radiohead records on Johnny's board (it's the Creep duggadugga prechorus sound), the Guv'nor is on a few notable blues albums IIRC Gary Moore and Pat Travers, who I rate highly, ran it. Of course the Bluesbreaker is pre...

Re: pictures of your gear here

That's what I was picking up from the various YouTube demos I'd seen. I really don't need another dirt pedal though. So, will probably get one   Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. I've so many dirt pedals. I find that different contexts require different tonality for the DURT. So my thing is to save...

Re: NAD - Marshall Origin 20

Very nice, enjoy the amp, I love my Marshall head a lot. I really like the green Muff reissue as now I don’t have to lug around the OG boat anchor and it’s tone suck when not engaged. Cheers!

I might try this on my Jaguar. I know I definitely would not try this on my Jazzmaster or Strat.

TB-2W(2, bought through 2 dealers expecting a cancellation on one, oops) Most people couldn't get one, let alone two. People are asking crazy prices for them on eBay/Reverb. Yeah, I was quite surprised to even get 1, I got lucky. I didn't bother reselling it yet as I don't really care about turning...

Also, just so you're aware, a tube can glow and look like its functional when in fact it is bad/non-functional.

the best Behringer pedal is the DM100, just make sure you have the tone knob up all the way. It sounds ideal through the smallest solid-state guitar amp you have using the bridge pick-up. THIS IS THE TOAN YOU NEED.

An update for anyone who isn't bored of me yet... I've spotted a Super-Sonic 60 head for cheap, and I think I'm gonna go for it. I definitely prefer the flexibility of a head/cab, and was only really considering a combo because the options for Fender-style heads are so limited. I think there's a 22...

And more or less everything will be PCB mounted at the price range you're looking at. Yep. And it is an issue but one that is fixable. I knew two other guitarists with Classic 30s before I bought mine and they probs paid out a few hundred each in servicings/repairs for amps that they'd owned since ...
