 have you seen the price of these things new! Almost cheaper to buy a Gibson.

Just found a few discontinued SG type models ESP/Edwards have made and they is costly.

There is another option though, if you don't want the guard - Gordon Smith SGs can be had with no guard IIRC. Do love a Gordon Smith but I don't think I could afford one of those. Ideally what I want is an old worn looking possibly walnut 70body, the square block inlays from first fret onwards, bin...

Shaftesbury seller has answered, here is routing for neck pickup, but they can include old smalckguard for no extra. Will have to wait and see how auction foes, if it goes out of my price range then it looks like I will be making my own with the help of Mr Grote.

SG Quandary - NGD bottom of page 2

The SGs with the full pickguard, are they likely to have any exposed routing hidden ? Or would you be able to remove the ugly batwing guard and just have th epalin wooden look. I've spotted an old Shaftesbury SG on eBay that I quite like the look of except the full guard. Rest of it has been moderni...

Vintage make nice affordable les Pauls, only reason I'm selling mine is so I can get a SG for myself.

As for Jim Deacon its a Chinese rebrand guitar, I have. A 24" strat and its well made and setup.
Those SX guitars from rondo are the same things.

I'm pretty sue the Alex Lifeson model LP comes with that cutaway heel for better upper access. Good idea, not that I'll do it to my LP as I'm trying my best to kepp it stock and sell the thing.

Been watching ebay for them, but they only seem to be for sale in the US and new, not seen and secondhand ones yet.

Useful one trick pony pedal : http://www.shortscale.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=50315

Nice.

Paf Pros are marked 151 underneath IIRC.

Nice pickup in the neck (and bridge too)
Wonder if it has the old Tone Zone in the bridge? That was always the old favorite upgrade combo for these back in the day.

Thank you Gabe, all sorted now. Just had to tighten up the bolt and nyloc nut the treadle pivots on.
