I still don't get why a Fender collaboration fell through, as if they wouldn't yield to his demands for CAR, a 7.25" radius and vintage voiced pickups. He seems to imply quality control in replicating the neck specs? Or maybe his previous collaboration with Fender didn't end amicably or profit...

I saw these yesterday when I went to Sam Ash, but they didn't interest me enough to try any of them.
On a side note, if you ask for discount on anything that is not on the list you will get one anyway but you have to ask. I got $100 of a new PRS Mark Holcomb SE

This is how my mustang is wired. It basically uses the two swtiches to get the popular 4 way switch mod common to telecasters.

To adjust the height of the bridge, you need to insert a size zero philips head screwdriver into the tiny holes on each side of the bridge (next to low e and high e saddles). If the screws are stripped get a replacement mustang bridge. Get one that matches the radius of the neck. Common mustang brid...

Hofner Shorty Travel Guitar

This year I have been having to travel a lot for work, so I decided to get a travel guitar. I was initially just going to buy a cheap squire mini and just cut away part of the body that was not necessary. But then I came across these Hofner shorty travel guitars for cheap that had a full sized neck ...

I think all electric guitars should stop using precious woods or if be sensible any woods at all. Myths about any influence of the wood on the sound of an instrument with electromagnetic pickups are pernicious and are not busted yet only because it is the only aspect that allows manufacturers to ea...

that blog is good: http://musicwrench.blogspot.fr/2009/10/fender-mustang-dynamic-vibrato-setup.html for me; i equilibrate the cigar tube, most people tighten it too much. verify your neck nut holes, it must allow the strings to move, sometimes with big gauge stringes the holes can be too small. use...

Placement more than signal chain, but both. Thanks for your reply. you place boost quite early. What are the pros compared to placing it later? It depends what you want the boost to do. If you want it to boost volume or boost gain. Before overdrives, they push the gain stage of the overdrive, after...

I am not certain what you asking. Are you asking about recommended signal chain order or how you should place the pedals on the board? In terms of signal chain order, I usually go Guitar > Compressor > Boost > Overdrives Distortion> Modulation> Delays > reverb> amp. In terms of setting up the pedal ...

Since I was in a similar situation I started researching possible solutions. I wanted to use my pedal board and was not into using smartphone/tablet/computer based solutions for headphone amps. Then it occurred to me I could probably rig something up to work with some pedals I have that currently ar...

My strategy is to lurk sites like reverb and other pedal dealers and wait until a holiday when they put many things on sale (15 to 20%). Buy used when possible and have an idea of what you want (i.e. compressor, fuzz, boost, transparent drive, mid gain drive, distortion, modulation, reverb, delay et...

I have a zoom g3 which I was using in the effects loop of my superego to add modulation effects ( mainly reverb, delay and some pitch shifting) to the "frozen" notes. (I use a carbon copy and verbzilla for that now.) I updated the firmware so I could run 6 effects in line at once. The go f...

I have some dimarzio area 58 (neck) and 61(bridge) in mine. Good cleans and they handle gain well. I also have it wired for neck, bridge, both in parallel and both in series. No out phase sounds for me.
