So I just got this '66 stang off the bay for 725. I'm not sure what these typically go for, but that's cheaper than the reissues are new. The reason I prefer older fenders is mostly because of the roundedness of the fretboard/edges. None of the newer ones seem to have that. http://i614.photobucket.c...

The 3 in the top row are all hot. They deserve their couch spot. The best looking strat plus I've ever seen has got to be the elusive "Ben" finish. http://www.blogto.com/upload/2009/10/20091006-Built%20to%20Spill%206.jpg I've hated the lace sensors in every guitar I've played with them, wh...

Turd brown jag is hot and as an avid volume sweller I like the placement of the volume knob, but then it got all strat jack. The sunburst version looks grody without a pickguard. It reminds me of a guitar version of Jaco Pastorius' bass, but less cool.

Mine was the unavoidable squier strat pack. I played it for 4 years with the stock .9s on it. At some point I decided a fretless guitar would be a cool thing to have and then 20 minutes and a screwdriver later I realized it was not....

the fit and finish on the last series of melody makers they did was fucking gross. On all of them that I tried, the fretboards weren't even glued onto the neck straight. These do look sweet though.

^ man, I'd love to have an MG-1, or any moog. The tuners are stock. All of the musicmaster basses had these until the mid 70's when Fender started putting full size tuners on, probably so they could use the same necks on these and on Mustang basses. As for the electronics, it's made it this far with...

This thing looks like it's brand new (by guitar center standards). There's only one chip on the upper horn. I've only played it through a pr...

I really don't see any bit of douche in the way phil x acts in these videos. Just because he's not an introverted, mumbly, humble, shoegazin' dude doesn't mean he's a douche. He never seems cocky about his playing, even though he's clearly an incredible guitarist. Haters gon hate.

Kinda meh. Not quite up to classic vibe standards. I didnt like the jag humbuckers, but the jazzmaster pickups were a'ight. I also really like the idea of cocentric knobs or whatever they're called, but the pots on these didn't blind my ears with screaming quality.
