Rob always sounds dumb and mean, but he is correct insofar as skill and band members matter waaaaaay more than the type of guitar-- a telecaster (ideally with neck position humbucker) is objectively the most versatile guitar and therefor the only guitar any new player should ever consider

I thought the headstock was white in the first pic, which would have looked really neat. Not that it doesn't already.

Also trim your strings
O shit that would look cool. A white headstock maybe I'll paint it since it's a $30 neck I can't really ruin it lol

GFS have a lot of decent looking bridges, but I assume they'll be too big for the bridge spacing on that body You’re right, fender shortscale basses have a narrower string spacing than the long scale models. I can’t remember the exact measurement but that’s why I can only use a...

I know that EHX pedals always disappoint me (except for their cheap vocoder pedal which is rad) but I guess I am going to buy the fuck out of this?

Re: Telecaster Bridge PUP Ground Fix Needed

Fam, Just got a new American Tele. And I fucking love it. But it has a GNARLY buzz that I'm pretty sure is a grounding issue because it's worst on the bridge pickup setting, and when I touch the control plate especially it goes away, but really any metal. Except the bridge. Help me! I don't wanna r...

I've decided against the warmoth neck because 2 piece maple necks piss me off! I have a jackson neck that I could use but its about 2mm thick for the neck pocket-- I guess that means I am in the market for a ebay neck

It'll be a travesty if you don't do a banana headstock - it'll balance the shape of the guitar out nicely too. agreed-- its not gonna have a jazzmaster neck on the finished guitar dont worry! update: i decided to try out this pickup since its cheap and new http://www.guitarfetish.com/assets/images/...
