Re: Short scale Epiphones

I gotta look into these. My oldest has discovered teh kurdtz and is interested in learning guitar. One of these may fit the bill for a 7 y.o.

Fender are kind of weird with some of their instruments, for example I've never even seen a Squier Jaguar in the flesh and I've been to several European countries since 2012 when they came out. Although they seem available in the UK (haven't been there). And it took almost two years for a Squier Mu...

THIS ONE isn't roadworn tho.

i ordered the 'non-road-worn' from sweetwater for $919 shipped. i'll let ya know what i think when it gets here. shows them both as the same price to me, and then a huge flag saying "WE DON'T SHIP TO CANADA, STUPID CANUCK!" or something.. either way $919 shipped is killer. wonder what the...

interesting.. im sure these will fetch like 650/750 used within the next year or two, in which case i'd bite. 1000 dollars for a "relic'd aka fucked up" guitar doesn't really sit too well with me. nitro, vintage correct neck/trem placement kinda makes it worth it though, only bummer is fo...

Re: 'Road Worn' 60's Jaguar MIM

I know it won't be 'twice' as good as the Squier VM Jag. The rosewood fingerboard features 22 vintage-style frets and a 7.25" radius. I beg to differ. This is what attracted me to it. More of a 'poor man's AVRI instead of a rich fucker's squier VM... Except they're price only a tad less than w...

'Road Worn' And now non-road worn 60's Jaguar MIM

Anyone play one of these yet?
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Jag60RWCAR

I can get my hands on a brand new one + hard case for a shade under $800 - but I haven't been able to play one in person yet.

I know it won't be 'twice' as good as the Squier VM Jag.

Thoughts?

Re: Matsumoku Red Competition Mustang

ebay It is more exact copy than other 70's Japan Mustang clones and quite cheap, though there is no information about body wood. http://i.ebayimg.com/t/1978-WESTMINSTER-ELECTRIC-GUITAR-Japan-Vintage-Matsumoku-Mustang-COMPETITION-RED-/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/FokAAOxyCSRSFI1b/$(KGrHqZHJB!FH6NrroV3BSFI1bf...

If you haven't played a CV you are totally missing out. I've only played the Duo Sonic when they were new and it fucking blew me away. In fact, most asian made guitars are now at a killer quality level, schecter, ltd - and the CV finally puts squier at the same level. http://cdn.head-fi.org/d/d2/d2...

I've wanted an AVRI jag for a while now, I set a $1000 limit for myself and have not found one......

get a Used AVRI Jaguar. see the thing is, you've already got really good quality guitars. every thing else you play is going to feel like shit after the "I GOT A NEW GUITAR" feeling wears off after a month or so. i have owned at least 40 guitars in the last 10 years and the only one I pla...
