i was not planning on using the strat neck. just as a temp so i can finish the body. i guess i just want toplay it. and can not afford a 100-150 neck....

will be unemployed, again. in 3 weeks..... :(

Question for you. I have been building almost the same, but a tad different for about a year now. it has been a cut out body waiting for a 24 neck. I would like to route etc. if i get a pickguard, is it as simple as mounting my 25 strat neck for a template, line up the pickguard, and away i go? the ...

man i love your mod. would that work with any bass pickup on the top strings? or do you have to wire it like you did with the midi to get those bass sounds?

to bad there are no 24 necks. its a good deal for a even just a temp neck. 24 necks are not the easist to find.

id go for the MM, only because its a "real" fender from back in the day and will be worth more than a Jap compstang from 2004. depends on what you call real fender. real fender would be pre CBS. with Leo around. :) I think the price has come down becasue there are more RI mustangs around ...

its the bridge distance. so the jagmaster neck is setup for a 25.5 body to make it a 24 scale instrument.

a jagmast neck is a conversion neck, so the bridge would have to placed on the body for a 25.5 inch scale guitar. so, you could put a jagmaster neck on a strat and make it a 24" strat but you can't put it on a mustang or jaguar or music master and make it intonate. its a conversion neck? i tho...

yeah, i have been thinking that. but, it would give it a different scale. i was looking for a 24 scale. i was thinking a jagmaster, but noticed they have the 70's headstocks. i was looking to build a musicmaster II, so not sure if jagmaster and mmII have the same headstk's
