Wow, is the flame on the majority of these necks? What tint did you use?

Also, the bridge... was it much to reposition it?

with a mean 90, it would make it 2 single coils. I would like a tone pot. but not sure what combo there could be with a SS. maybe out of phase?

and i think the switch might be toast, its when you tap it it goes off, wiggle back forth... etc...

I have just replaced the jack with a switchcraft, but now the 3 way selector switch is failing. does anybody know what pot/switch to purchase? I have been looking all over.... Having had various Mustang bridges on my guitars over the years I eventually sprang for a Staytrem. If it is in your budget just buy one and live happily ever after. i wish i could, they look so nice... just can not right now. i was hoping around 20.00 USD... not 100.00+ like the staytrem... unless...

thanks for all the tips. I will go thru all of these. I talked to my father in law, he played bass in bars forever. he said people would knock his gear around, and his bass even flew out of a window from a driving car. I saw the bass before he sold it. full of cracks, but it was one of the best p-ba...

What's different about how it plays? In the photos, it doesn't look like the action has jumped or anything? This is going to sound very patronising, but are you sure you aren't imagining it playing differently? Other than stripping the body, I don't see how you could work out how much is damaged, o...

Dropped on neck... plays different. is it ok...

My Son accidentally dropped my JazzMaster. It landed on carpet, but hit the neck 1st, then the horn. I heard it crack. It now has a crack in the neck (but could be just the finish.) and 3 cracks in the body, (which also could be the finish.) after it was dropped, I tuned it back up and played it, an...

The diagram looks OK; the only thing I'd say is with the switch in the middle position the two tones will act together; so if you have the tone rolled fully back on the neck and fully up on the bridge, you're not going to get a mix of bright bridge and dark neck tones but like each has the tone par...

To fix the holes, get some dowel rods just slightly smaller than the the drill bit size used to make the hole. Then glue them into the hole obviously after cutting them to fit. Then when it's dry, you can sand it flush and redo the proper holes. HNB or Cooterfinger could help you with more detail. ...

I agree, sell the cyclone. I have one too. the Pickups are horrible. I dont even know if its worth my time to swap them out. the neck i have an issue with as well. I did a Tru-oil on the neck and it made it better, i also filed the fret ends, and rolled the endges. so much better. but I think it end...
