Squier VM Mustang or Fender Modern Player Mustang

I'm guessing that has probably been asked a lot but is there much difference between them apart from the pickups?
Possibly considering getting one but unsure which one.

If I used a duo-sonic II bridge how much would it need moving?
Are we talking a few mm or more like an inch?

Routing a Mustang body

Considering buying a Mustang body blank but how difficult is it to route all the necassary holes and neck pocket etc?
Also is it possible to route the neck pocket to fit a squier duo sonic neck?

Squier CV Duo-Sonic

Finally got round to making the new scratch plate, I know there is bit of a gap between the scratch plate and the control panel but that will be rectified when I get my new metal control plate.
