The ones I already have fill most of the gaps for me, but there are a few left on the wish list: Super-Sonic - bread and butter electric Bronze Series Mockingbird - for drop D and heavy lifting Ovation Balladeer - acoustic/acoustic-electric Some Samick bass - full scale bass I could also see adding ...

So I finally got the Analogue Drums kit configured, programmed a few measures to make sure I actually had, and it is great fun. I highly recommend it. I also dig how adorable the description on the site made it sound: come on, how was I not going to want to download a "lovable Ludwig"?

I don't get it. Did you buy this as a Jazzmaster? How much did you pay? If it were me, I'd get my money back and tell the seller to GTF. If you feel you've been ripped off, do this. Otherwise, do you like the neck, and do you like it enough? That's the dealbreaker for me on any guitar; anything els...

Analogue Drums provide a free kit's worth of samples and are supposed to sound pretty good. I'm liking this one--I think. I had to go hunting for a free sampler to make it talk to Cubase. Shortcircuit 1.1.2 seems like it ought to work, but I haven't been able to find a readymade drum map for the Bi...

Maybe (approximate) age of guitars/ time owned? Brand would be another one--some mentioned it in this survey; some didn't. Or short scale/ full scale, maybe. Perhaps that's already been done, though.

I've been using 10s indiscriminately lately, but I'm going to give 11s a try on the Super Sonic next setup.

Obviously there's a lot of turnover, but do you have any that you absolutely won't get rid of?

I just can't bring myself to hate it. Six-year-old me (that is, in 1991) would have thought it was the awesomest guitar in the history of ever. I could see playing it ironically, at least. It's so absurd it's sort of endearing.

I could warm to that Mustang. The Jaguarillo and the Offset Special are just... odd. Offset Special is a little more palatable in black. Anybody know the scale length on the bass? I've been GASing for a modded Bronco bass, but it might give me pause.

I'd say either of the Mustangs, for the played-and-liked factor. I wouldn't worry about not being a Cobain fan if you go with the KC Mustang: if you can get a sound you like out of it, where's the problem?

Thin picks are ok sometimes on an acoustic--depends on the song. I don't care for them on electric, though. There I usually go for something in the 0.73 to 1mm range. Usually yellow or green tortex, but the Pickboy carbon/nylon ones are my favorite ever. Super-heavy picks feel weird to me, except on...
