hahaha (to fake emo band), fun stuff. I hate the new boyband metal. it sucks. i was talking with someone about it and i said i bet i could do the same thing by myself so they said to do it. Wrote/recorded 9 songs in 13 days. I had a buddy of mine across the country record vocals for a few songs and...

Do you have any prior experience with electronics and soldering? If not, building a (modulation) pedal can be somewhat tricky. At least in comparison to a DIRT pedal. But keep in mind that there's always people who will help you. I can't read an electronics diagram to save my life. I've been solder...

Anyone ever try these? (DIY stompbox content)
DIY stompboxes. I've been looking at a couple sites... I'm thinking of trying the P45 Phaser from here: http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/home and maybe the chorus from here: http://www.buildyourownclone.com/ I think it'd be neat to build different boxes and have the option of painting and naming ...

yeah i used to have a mag 300, they're affordable good little bass tops. i would get a top and match it with a cab though because i found the speakers in the combos to be utter shit. but rackmount top is cheap and does the job. it's 'only' 300 watt, but for bass demand a mic and di for gigs, it wor...

Eband?
I've had a few "fake band" projects that i've written tons of songs for. One was a fake/parody screamo/emo/hardcore band. It got semi popular on the old myspace back in the day. it was more funny than anything. I programmed the drums in ezdrummer DKFH and recorded everything else on my own...

i've always kinda wanted a tele or a guitar with just single coils. I dont want to spend a ton of money and id be happy with anything that stayed in tune, didnt make a bunch of fucked up rattley and jangley noises. For $150 i might just have to check one out. If nothing else as a base for a project ...

xavier guitars..
On guitarfetish.com. whats up with them? They look nice and seem legit, but they're so cheap... anyone had any experience with them? I'm looking at either the solid or semi hollow teles. The orange hollowbodies look downright sexual IMO.

What tuning is this called?
Ive been experimenting with open tunings and stumbled on this one somewhere... D-A-D-Gb-A-E. Its drop d with the G tuned down half a step and the B tuned down a full step. I really like it. Anyone have other ideas for odd open tunings that are drop D based? i like having the ability to do the power ...
