Re: Pawn shop mustang wiring

Does anybody have a wiring diagram or even just a picture of the inside of the pick guard? Fender doesn't have one and I can't for the life of me figure how to wire a split/series/split to a mustang switch. Any help would be greatly appreciated. http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/8595/dsc03948l.th....

I'll snap a few later on today. I tried to swap out the three way switch before and it turned into a total botched job... the replacement was just a tiny tiny tiny bit to big and it the pick guard wouldnt screw down properly. so i had to take it out, attempt to bend and fix the original, just to fin...

^yes. i now pretty much exclusively track guitars using free vst amps and cab impulses. it makes it awesome when you can seamlessly edit some dude's 5000 DI takes together into something usable before you just decide to track it yourself and just tell him he's awesome at guitar. haha yeah. Ive been...

i did a little testing and turns out i can use my line 6 toneport to do it with. I can record two tracks, one with my normal setup in gearbox and another completely dry, at the same time. I can then play back the dry clip out of my analog out, into my head then back into my toneport via the mic inpu...

Always get a DI with every guitar track for reamping later. Always DI bass too. I always DI bass. I've recorded myself for my band plenty of times using my Sansamp BassDriver DI. Thing is legit. As far as DI guitar, I tried it using my buddys 6505 with a line out into the mixer to try IR's for cab ...

any advice for new recording adventure?

I'm completely self taught in recording. I've only really recorded stuff for my band (search "Steelscape" on youtube to see what i've done so far). I've always used my line6 toneport for for guitars and bass and never really mic'd cabs or anything mostly because i a)never could get it to s...

go it. its completely bad ass. cant wait until i can really crank it up. how well would getting some type of OD (tubescreamer/maxon) work for driving the tubes on the gain channel? Its what my bandmate does on his 6505+ (even thought he amp is a gain beast to begin with) and it makes it sound more c...

High pickups can affect tuning / intonation issues through the magnet pull from the pickup on the strings... interrupting the natural oscillation of the string. True. I've had it happen on the low E string when downtuning. This could be something as simple as a bad pack of strings. I had some Ernie...

I would just think that if that were the case it would be consistent and not gradually get worse and worse while playing.

All good ideas. I'll restring later on today and use the old strings to brush out the nut slots a bit and use some graphite. I do run the bridge pickup pretty high and raised the neck also a little bit. I was having the problem though before i raised those and the whole idea that having pups to high...
