I play gauges:

12
16
20
28
38
52

On 24" scale. Just an FYI for anybody who likes em fat, these gauges are all tension-equal between 9 and 10 Kg per string. I like my strings all equal tension. And playing a .052 string sounds fucking huge, can also put in Drop D with no floppiness.

These Mustangs are IMO the best value guitars of all time. I have the Blue Sparkle one, cannot get over how great it is, especially for a measly $150.

That'd be great thanks for your help as always.
If anyone else owns other Mustangs, would you try swapping out the neck and see if it works and report back please?

Decided to sell this guitar to my buddy - sadly, I dont care for the fretboard radius.
Could I put a different mustang neck on this guitar? If so does anyone know which ones will and won't work?

I set it up with custom gauge equal-tension strings (52-38-28-20-16-12) and adjusted the neck and intonated it yesterday when it arrived, then let it sit and marinade for a day. When I picked it up again a full day later, every string was still in perfect tune right on the money. Impressive. I am al...

I was indeed talking about the screw holes on the back of the headstock, but the tuners are actually good, so I'll leave them be.
I cant believe how great this guitar sounds. This might be the best value guitar in existence.

Will the Kluson saftey-post tuners drop right in, or would I have to re-drill the screw holes?

I'd like to use these with the nickel knobs

Great info thank you!
Mine is arriving tomorrow. I'm thinking of modding it to be what the Pawn Shop Mustang should have been.
OR perhaps making it into a Cyclo-Stang. I wanna do something unique with it

Probably wouldnt work. But I'd like to swap the body on a Mustang Special out for the body on this one. Keep the mustang special's neck, hardware, pickups, just replace its body with the bullet mustang.
That's why I sent the mustang special back, body was too small.
