Good form Rob.

You need to sort the paint on that skirting board though.

I use an old Zoom Reverb 507, it does just about everything but obviously very digital sounding. Got a few others like the Marshall Reflector, none of them have the range of the Zoom though. It’s an ideal Shoegaze pedal.

Well done Chris, I bet the neck plays like silk.

I think I’d go mint guard and I get what you are saying about the other parts looking too clean. Might look different again when you get hold of it though.

I don't do Facebook currently and feel I might be missing out on deals more special than the super classifieds section on Shortscale You aren’t missing much, I sometimes use my missus’s Facebook to go on marketplace and there is a lot of crap on there. I’ve had more luck with g...

There’s a Sonic Blue 2017 Baja on the UK Fender Instruments Trading Page on Facebook for £575. I don't do Facebook currently and feel I might be missing out on deals more special than the super classifieds section on Shortscale You aren’t missing much, I sometimes use my missusââ‚...

Totally understand The feelings of guilt surrounding buying new stuff just for you. As someone who sold nearly everything in a pursuit of minimalism a few years ago...I just have regret now. Like it literally makes me fucking sad. This year I have grown my guitars by 3 and it feels good (once you g...

I’m really overthinking this and wondering if I could even justify anything anyway Like I don’t need anything and it really seems borderline offensive really when I analyse it deeply FML You're overthinking this an overintellectualising this in order to give yourself a reason to be ha...

They called that thinskin nitro or something, didn't they? The reviews I remember reading when they came out reckoned that nitro sounds better than poly, and thin nitro sounds better again. Nothing to do with cost cutting.... Aye, something like that Paul. I dropped some cigarette ash on mine one n...

Yeah, it's definitely a pretty brittle clearcoat, and there's with nothing to speak of on the black Squier CV Jag after 7-odd months of playing. Ah well, get what you pay for, I guess. The Highway One models from Fender were finished with an intention to age quickly. Only know this because I had a ...

Agree with Jon, to get offended or made to feel uncomfortable with an amplifiers nickname that is out of context is alien to me.

There’s enough in the world to worry about already. Who gives a fuck about a Fender amps nickname right now?

I never really gave it another thought other than it is a simple term to describe an amplifier, as in the colour of the face plate. In context ‘face’ is the surface of a thing, especially one that is presented to the view or has a particular function. It’s not in reference to a p...

I had the rip of the Tres Hombres vinyl on my last hard drive that died... I kinda liked it, but not really. Any other classic stuff from the early '70s whups it... I think maybe you have to be playing billiards in tight jeans or something. I really like Billy Gibbons playing and tone, it’s ...

Is there zztop that doesn't sound like 1980s garbage? Maybe it's the fake fucking drums I can't get past on these records. For the “Heavy Sound it kinda depends on what you’re going for. When I think of that sound I think of a lot of the stoner and doom bands, and I’ve had luck getting a tone like that by stacking distortions (boost into fuzz, etc), but it can be achieved in a lot of differen...

Stunning.
I like the simplified circuit idea as well. It doesn’t take away anything aesthetically imo, like it would on the Jaguar.

Toronados were ace guitars, I had three of them at one point. They reminded me of LP Juniors, had loads of sonic growl and attitude and nice to play.
The Cyclone II is interesting, it’s a model I always wanted to try, didn’t Sloan have one back in the day?
