Re: Joan Jett epiphone 299

It's a reissue of the vintage mid 60s Epiphone Olympic which was the counterpart of the Gibson Melody Maker and for a brief time had this unique shape akin to the Melody Maker of the time but with the longer upper horn. Back in the day you couldn't buy a humbucker and first aftermarket humbuckers ...

Elon seems to be interested in SS amplification, though nobody told him that it stands for solid state

Re: Epiphone LP Special SL/Melody Maker E1

I love it. I always wanted a Melody Maker and came close to buying a used Gibson reissue back when they were $250 - 300 but the sellers was hell bent to send it to me across the world in that original cardboard toy box they were packed into from the factory, so it didn't work.

That DC looks really ...

Nice templates. I watched a youtuber who said he always re-does his templates in plywood because he quickly messes up his MDF ones

Check out the headstock angle too. It's a clear giveaway it was during the Kalamazoo days

Right, that's when Napoleon fought Gengiskhan to establish the Danish law in Chile. Rough times, best music though

Re: Birth year guitars, has anyone done this?

15 years ago the best used Japanese brand in terms of quality and affordability was Burny/Fernandes. It had the same as or very close craftsmanship and quality to Tokais and Grecos but cost much less. Sometimes a good Les Paul, SG, ES, Junior or a strat was 1.5 - 2 times cheaper than a respective ...

Re: Birth year guitars, has anyone done this?

I think the birth year thing is dumb AF regardless of the fact that I'm mostly broke and can't afford buying overpriced stuff from back when.

You can build a partscaster to your preferred specs, although their reselling value is usually horrible if you ever decide to flip it, or buy a newer guitar ...

Re: Behringer Fuzz Bender

I saw people moaning on forums we don't need another Tonebender clone, we're all set with the already existing ones. Yeah, all set my ass. I'm never gonna fork out $200 for your boutique clones, but one for $60 is right up my alley

Re: Behringer Fuzz Bender

Thomann already has the price for it. It's 48 Ls but available only in several months. If our national currency don't go down the toilet by that time as it's predicted to, I might buy it

Re: NGD - Gretsch 6137 White Panther

Looks awesome and I like that unlike vintage Gretsches it has a proper long neck for this double cut body style, not a short neck with a giant heel. And also no back cover. It does look beautiful.

There are times when I can spend hours watching videos with Rick 12s. A Squier 12 would probably scratch that itch
