Usually linear is used for the tone pot of a darker guitar (les paul and 335 stock). With linear, most of the change occurs in the last 1/3 of the pot's rotation. Or a darker guitar where the control probably won't be used much anyway, the dead space at the beginning of the rotation serves as a safe...

Is there a rule that every loop pedal must be demoed with white-boy funk?

I REALLY like the DD-7 - seems like sort of an all-in-one deal. Do you think it'll replace the DD-6 or just find its own little niche?

I have a few of these: a Supertone from '37, the 1448 amp-in-case, the red burst Coronado copy from 1969, and whatever letter "A" is on the 1985 page.

That les paul with the effect module is sweet.

Trewth Their amps a few years back were wonderful - that one with the mismatched 10 and 12 speakers was really unique and special. They're catering to this strange aging-metalhead audience with all this crap (Les Paul BFG especially). I want an affordable semi-hollow, some sub-$4,000 jazz boxes, may...

They had to make proprietary new PUPs, hardware, and knobs, so I guess they can justify it that way. The new ones are probably much better construction wise, as well

They'll probably all be on clearance for half price within a year or so.

I was looking at the 3-PUP rocket til I saw the price

My local store has an NOS 1972 Rebel with case for $550 - no way I'd think about a reissue.

I like the reissues too, but black U1s are hard to come by for under $400 and then I might as well have something unique and 1-of-a-kind for that.

I was just thinking you'd build the body with parts sent to make sure everything lined up right - It depends. When I get the money situation figured out, we can talk further. We could also do a complete build with a neck and everything - It depends on how much gear I sell, but I really want somethin...

I'd feel cheated if you didn't do it your way. I can probably track one down and make a tracing and measurements, otherwise I'd just say freeball it and get it close to the pics. I'm more interested in something unique then something perfect. The originals are up in the $700-$1500 territory, so buil...

Semi-hollow - A poplar frame with plywood glued on the front and back.

I'd send a neck, bridge, etc to get all the measurements right. What would the cost be like (minus paint)?

Someone made this for me

I swear:

Same construction as the Dano, but nicer materials and wayyyyy more classy looking.

Gear sale may be imminent.

Robert(og) - think you could do a body like that if I provide the neck?

The guy got a bunch of negative feedback and complaints and seems to have shut down. My pedal worked great for a month, and today it just stopped working for no reason. No damage, no bumps or bruises, just stopped. I'm posting over on the BYOC forum to see if I can fix whatever quit, I'm betting the...

I'd be interested in a 7-string archtop or something that was reasonable for clean playing - all the 7-strings I've seen are pointy and metally, though.

It would probably work well for solo music.

It's a japanese company - might not be made by teisco, but certainly similar.

I have a guitar with those same PUPs - they're wound really low output wise, but have 2 big ceramic magnets so they're very twangy.

Gee, and my problem is that most of my guitars have too much sustain.

The neck joint will probably be fine - I'm just paranoid. Although, Rob(og) can always put it back together if it breaks (for $$ of course).
