I understand the whole "Boutique" aspect and the "This guitar was beaten up by us with hammers" mentality, but $3,000 seems a bit much.

Those might be worth looking into, definitely. I think I'm gonna stick with the VM Jag pickups for this, mainly because it's gonna look super weird and I like super weird SGs. I have been looking at that second one. Though the lack of pictures and the under 10 word description takes away all of my temptation. Not to mention I hate buying a vintage guitar with no case. I noticed on that '67 Bronco with a different pickup that it also has a black nut.

This is an ACE strap from the 60's and the pattern is called "Stained Glass," People like Jimmy Page, Hendrix, and Duane Allman have used the same strap design. I got this with a 1967 Harmony acoustic and with some eBay browsing I found the strap was worth more than the guitar I bought it ...

Reminds me of Dick Dale's son's model. I don't think they ever had dual pick guards on their 70's acoustics.
