O.k., got them. Came with the courier again, would have preferred to the post office, but whatever.
Fancy packaging.
Measured 6.15K and 6.38K ohms.

Re: Interesting Duo-Sonic Pickups
The pickups haven't come yet, but I ordered some parts from two different aliexpress dealers a week later, then two days later from two other dealers.
Everything came in one single package, and it didn't come by mail, but a local courier firm delivered it to me today.

Re: Interesting Duo-Sonic Pickups
Nice, we'll wait!
Because of how long the typical delivery from Aliexpress takes I sometimes forget I ordered something and don't feel excited about the thing, but I hope the pickups will live up to the expectation. Pickup makers on Aliexpress seem to have significantly improved their game. Their ...

Re: Interesting Duo-Sonic Pickups
Ok, bought them. I'll let you guys know about them in about a month, or whenever I decide to install them after that.
They were only 38 US bucks and something like 63 cents. Free shipping.
I have been looking for the Duncan Antiquities bridge for about a year. Mainly I couldn't find it anywhere ...

How could you stand looking at it? The pickup covers are white and the switches are black.
Did you even plug it in?
I like the hardtail HH strat.

Re: Any verdicts on the squire sonic mustangs?
I played one today. The single coil pickups were ok, better than on the CV Mustang which I own, but not stellar. Only played it clean because I was trying out a pedal.
The neck wasn't too great. Some string buzz, and I disliked the lack of finish on the neck (I know it's supposed to have some super ...

Re: Mustang Vibrato Guides?
That is an interesting subject, and I have no real anwsers.
I've tried them all: lower break angle, higher break angle, less tension, more tension. A lower break angle would theoretically keep in tune better, the problem being the strings can pop off, but that would be more of a problem with ...

Re: The ultimate list of cheap copies of great pedals thread!
I've been using one of those Kmise Crunch Distortions for a bit now. Basically I wanted to build what I called a dollar store pedal board. Ryan from 60 Cycle Hum tested one and said it was like a shitty Rat clone. They sound like a Rat, but don't clean up like Rats do when you back the gain off ...

Re: Moskyaudio Golden Horse: Cheap Mini Klon Centaur
Weird, I built one and it boosted quite a lot. By the way, there is no fuzz knob on it, it's a volume knob. Which may possibly push the preamp on your amp into more distortion.Progrockabuse wrote: Fri Aug 18, 2023 9:41 am I had a one knob fuzz a while back and it sound great, but dropped in volume a lot compared to bypassed.

Re: Strat wiring question
So it's just standard toggle, standard volume/tone/tone, but with those push-pull pots that give all the options?
A bit awkward, but quite useful. Nice guitar.

There was already a Roland Saturn SA-09, so that will be the Uranus?Thomas wrote: Sat Mar 11, 2023 3:25 pm They’ve now announced a proper Juno 6/60 clone. 8 voices. Familiar looks. Named the Neptune. I think the body is slab like 65/66 'stangs, without those things cut on the back and for the forearm like on strats (which the Bullet Mustangs have).sunshiner wrote: Wed Aug 23, 2023 1:21 pm Has Sonic Mustang got the same specs as the Bullet one? I mean the same 35mm body and the same neck.

Of course no one answers because it's too vague and someone has to guess what you want.
If you want just master volume and tone, use the telecaster diagram for the volume and tone, and keep the strat selector switch. You can find various coil tap diagrams, for Les Paul or whatever, they're just ...

I also didn't realize that Japan also had Broncos.
This one from the 1977 Catalog in all White with black Witch hat knobs looks fantastic. 1979 Japanese models were all black.

Re: NGD x2 Epiphone Crestwood & Casio DG20
I tried those Casios back in the day. Can't say I was much of a shredder, but I could easily play a bunch of notes, remove my hands from the guitar, and wait for the sound, which came later. They had a pretty bad latency.
