I have the gretsch jim dandy. It was super easy to setup with 10's and low action and with the silk and steel ernie balls it's probably the best sounding acoustic i've ever heard as i can't stand the full body bassy sound. The looks are a bonus. I'd say this is probably the best cheap acoustic for t...

I mean. I got a pretty good deal on a body and i've always wanted a sherwood green '59. So this is what i ended up with. I kinda fell in love haha. Avri hardware, mustang bridge with some makeshift improvemets. Still got the original pickups but that's probably gonna change the next time i manage to...

I bend a lot and i like my action low even though i certainly don't play shreddy music. and the *frets out during a semitone bend on a 7,25" is not something that'd sell a lot of guitars in 2018 imo.

Not returning it because the side does not hold anything anyway but holy shit. I just slightly dinged it and the neck cracked the paint like nothing.

I like jumbos. Makes it easier to bend, you can have a lighter touch and there's more material to sand off when they go bad.

Thanks a lot you all. @jagsonic: I enjoy using the rhythm cirquit quite a lot. either for exactly what you said or just to clean up an overdriven sound with the flick of a switch. I donť really get why most folks tape them up or don't understand them, as to me it's one of the more practical...

Whyyyy are jazzmasters so expensive. I already ordered a new bridge pickup, an 62 avri tremolo and I'm waiting for staytrem.

Thanks guys! I have modded the blender to be vintage correct(it makes it loud as hell and the boost switch actually works) and it's in one of the loop pedals with the DOD to give it a little more juice(i honestly think it sounds horrible without a pedal boosting it) and i usually stack it into the b...

Thanks for the advice you all. It's ana amazing guitar. I just ordered myself a 50's styled bridge pickup from a local winder and I talked to the guys at Staytrem and new 9,5" non tilting bridges that fit tuneomatic thimbles will be shipping from the 31st of January, so that would be all the th...

Btw if any of you UK guys had the Classic 60's surf green jazzmaster for around 700 pounds, i'd jump on that right now. Visual condition is not a concern.

the one i've had the chance to play felt kinda wonky. Most of it was probably mainly because the setup was not very good, compared to the J Mascises that get treated like flagship models. Stores here generally sell only strats and Les Pauls and 90% of older guitarists make fun of you if you bring ou...

The ones I've seen have smaller frets, but are otherwise the same. They make me feel like they're the bad parts that didn't pass the QC to be used in a JMJM though. That would also explain why they're sold for quite a lot less than the VM, while the Mascis costs the same as a Mexican Mustang at leas...

Jumbo frets is something i like, and i can always get a replacement staytrem bridge. Tbh the only thing i don't like about the Mascis is the closer mounted tremolo. I feel like this would stick a lot in the TOM saddles and it looks that little bit off to me. I wish i could get both and swap the neck...

J Mascis vs Vintage Modified Jazzmaster

hey, guys I've been looking to buy a Jazzmaster and inside my price range there are only two that i like. The J Mascis and the Vintage Modified in sonic blue. Which one would you recommend? Honestly I can't stand the clearcoated neck on the VM, but I am mainly asking about the quality. Most J Mascis...

I love those geetars, but ffs why did they do that to the pickguard shape. I can't stand how it goes back under the bridge.

Came from a LP. Sorry about all that messy shit and the screws being like that. It was an emergency mid gig repair and i use the tele pretty much only when i need to play some blues.

I really can't stand sg's as i can't let go off the neck when i just sing with bass and also because of the symetrical shape... But a guild S-100 is a serioiusly hot guitar. I also kinda like Kalamazoos for the fender like design with the white pg and single-coils. I'd love one like that! :D
