Since you swapped the pickguard, I'm curious if it's got a USA pattern like the Squier VM series? Or if it's more MIJ/CIJ? Finally played the Duo-Sonic models, and indeed, do not want, because of the neck. That "updated neck profile" is too chunky for a shortscale, and the satin finish on the back is gross :( The tint is fine however. And the surf green finish is really pretty (though not at all surf green). ...

Funny, I've used Kiwi to age plastic, but never thought to try it on a neck. How does it change the feel, if at all? That's my main dislike with those types of necks. The Bullets always seem to have very light maple wood. A nickel's worth of Kiwi can help tame that neck "glare".

This is my first post here. FWIW, these have turned out to be a fun, affordable modding platform. They actually play quite well right out of the box. They are 24" scale (the Fender website finally corrected the 24.75" they had listed) It has a Basswood body with Maple/Rosewood neck/fretboa...
