Finally played the Duo-Sonic models, and indeed, do not want, because of the neck. That "updated neck profile" is too chunky for a shortscale, and the satin finish on the back is gross :( The tint is fine however. And the surf green finish is really pretty (though not at all surf green). ...

Funny, I've used Kiwi to age plastic, but never thought to try it on a neck. How does it change the feel, if at all? That's my main dislike with those types of necks. The Bullets always seem to have very light maple wood. A nickel's worth of Kiwi can help tame that neck "glare".
