Neck: Alnico II (parallel wiring)

MUSTANG HH - new mod

I put a Duncan Designed Distortion in the bridge wired in parallel mode (like my Jagmaster).
I removed the neck pickup and covered the hole with a photo of a humbucker.

My new mod: As i barely use the neck pickup i decided to remove it. Because i use a lot of Distortion and Fuzz pedals i tried to mod the bridge pickup to parallel mode. More highs and more open sound. I had a Alnico 2 pickup installed and wanted some more output so i put back the Duncan Distortion (...

I bought some chinese Alnico II pickups on eBay. I paid 25 Euros for both (ca. 30 Dollars). I know the Seymour Duncan Alnico II pickups and i must admit these chinese pickups are equal. The relic job looks awesome, love the sanding through to show the burst underneath. What tools do you use to relic? I've been wanting to experiment with it so I'm curious. I used a chain, spoon, screwdriver, knife, scalpel, scotch-brite. And i watched some relic videos on youtube before. Cool, than...

The Bullet Mustang ist great right out of the box.
Hardware is absolutely ok, the Pickups are great.
No need to mod.
