So rediculous it awesome, but I couldn't resist putting in some sweet flashing lights, and maybe a strobe, if your gonna be rediculous why not take it all the way?

Yeah I have a black/tort, but I'm very tempted by the prospect of gold anodized, but I don't really wanna be spending any money on aesthetic junk at the moment cause I'm recording at the end of the month yay!

Jazzmaster neck swap

my buddy swapped the neck on his jazzy with an all maple from a mexi strat with heel adjustment for truss rod, as the kinds quite few and far between cause it made a nice difference sound and playability and I'm very much considering doing the same, would ideally want a jumbo headstock though cause ...

Volume should always be Log/Audio. There is a debate on Tone, but Volume should always be Log since your ear hears sound level (volume) differences logarithmically and so the taper is better suited. I'm not saying you're incorrect as manufacturers fuck up all the time. All the action in a linear po...

CIJ use Alpha pots. Nothing wrong with them at all. All Marshalls use Alphas, infact most thing guitar related will be Alphas in my experience. just figured while I've got the pickguard off for the new pickups and shielding I may aswell do the pots too, but if the ones in there are good I won't tou...

I'm lazy and tend to keep the volume full on both, but since i'm doing the new pickup I will do the volume and tone pot at the same time.

Whats the quality like on the CIJ jazzmaster pots?

The live earth streams are pretty good, just watching wembley, can't wait for Spinal Tap with Rick Gervais

yeah even when I play clean I don't tend to be totally clean so I have mine with minimal dirt and use a compressor to push it that bit extra, then a hotcake for a bit more

but I have a ts9 arriving in a couple of days so that should be fun

I think all you need to do is take one of the jacks from the speaker cable or the guitar lead and wire it up to the speaker leads (if they're long enough etc), that's what I did for my TT. Your Valve Junior Head should have speaker outputs so you shouldn't need to fuck with that at all. What's the ...

They're the same but you should be able to get more treble out of the Custom/Deluxe neck pickup by raising to towards the strings, it really starts to sparkle then. I've actually been using the neck pickup on my Deluxe (and the combination of both) a lot more since rejigging the scratchplates and s...

I literally have no idea what you're doing. You're buying a Jazzmaster and trying to make it sound like a Telecaster which you already have which has your "perfect tone". Why are you buying a Jazzmaster? cause I like the trem and I prefer the way the jazzmaster looks, and my tele plays li...

I'm not ill informed and although it took months for me to get the perfect tone out of my tele, I knew it was there from the start, and new it wasn't with the stock jazzmaster pickups. So perfect you bought a Jazzmaster to stick a Tele pickup in? yes thats pretty much what I stated quite clearly, i...

It does seem to be a little strange to me at least, that trying to make a jazzmater sound like a tele is sort of defeating the purpose of buying the much more expensive jazzy in the first place. I guess the most important thing though is having a guitar you're happy with. I really like the trem on ...

new curtis novak pickup for jazzmaster

so I e-mailed curtis and said I really liked the sound of tele bridges but that I have a jazzmaster on the way, and he said he would try to combine the tele bridge design into a jazzmaster pickup, and less than a week later http://www.curtisnovak.com/pickups/jmt.shtml thats the result, very cool
