Re: Eq pedals

The BEQ-1 and the EQ-100 share the same PCB, only some passive components are changed to give different frequency bands. The Boss GE-7 uses TL022 dual op-amps for the bandpass filters while the EQ-100/BEQ-1 uses 4558s for everything.

Re: Eq pedals

I bought a Beta Aivin/Harley Benton BEQ-1 a while back and took it apart to see what the difference was. Boss use op-amps with a slightly better noise spec but you're probably not going to notice. Will a direct swap of OP amps work? They cost like a couple of bucks. Two minutes with a soldering iro...

I'm sure you could get the slider knobs in that colour now. People are offering them 3D printed in various colours.

Saw this over on offset. Brilliant job. The hole in the headstock does something weird to me, though. It makes me queasy, like when you see a picture of some strange medical condition. I'm a cheapskate so I did a bit of checking reviews and bought these from The Great Satan.
(I'm not sure where they are right now.)

Re: NGD - Fender American Professional II Jazzmaster - LH

Jealous, it's been 13 years since I bought an American Fender with all the trimmings. That fret slot though... annoying, even if it affects nothing.
It should have a document that says "PASSPORT - Fellowship of Acoustics"? Whut?

Re: Albion TCT50

I haven't found the TCT50 circuit but it's likely the input stage is the same as the TCT100, which has an FET input then everything seems to be valve after that.

On one of the electronics forums it says they were very helpful about giving him a circuit diagram and another post says they were also sold as Wharfedale. There's also a mention of mixed FETs and valves.

Re: new swinger?

This is old news. Unfortunately the search function is still borked so finding the thread is difficult. One question remains in my mind; why the hell was the single-pickup version more expensive than the non-authentic dual pickup version?

IIRC the Fender version had nutserts in the body and knurled screws holding the ashtray on?

Yep. No FX loop on the M9, all the virtual effects are chained either 1-2-3 or 3-2-1. I think there is the option to place the looper either pre or post effect in the global setup.

Re: A Slightly oops NPD: Line 6 M13

So I may have slightly gone overboard after posting about wanting an M5/M9. I had a couple of beers whilst knackered from late night baby duties and put a proper lowball offer in for an M13 thinking it would never win………well it did!!! Fuck knows how I’m gonna explain that to efty when it arrives!! ...
