Re: £127 Sonic Mustang
The Dong with a luminous Nose! When awful darkness and silence reign Over the great Gromboolian plain, Through the long, long wintry nights;- When the angry breakers roar As they beat on the rocky shore;- When Storm-clouds brood on the towering heights Of the hills of the Chankly Bore:- Then, throu...

Re: £127 Sonic Mustang
Fender prices in the UK are anecdotally in pounds whatever they are in dollars in the US.

Further to that post about the Sonic Mustang at Bax Music, they've added a 7% discount bringing the Torino Red to £127. Delivery is around £6.

Re: Pedalboard modellers: Whats your pick?
Getting a bit off topic here, but for Bacchus... I hooked up my M13 MIDI Out to my M9 MIDI In. Tap tempo is sent - but so are any selections made using 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, 4A and 4B on the M13. I suppose that could be useful if you could work out how to use those combinations. ISTR that expression pedal...

Re: Pedalboard modellers: Whats your pick?
For the soul band I have a Roland GR-55 and I have a GK-3 pickup on a Squier Stratocaster. As a pedalboard the GR-55 is limited in the number of effects you can apply and control in any one patch but you can change patches. It's fairly old tech now but still sold. For the other (rockier) project I'm...

Re: '99 Stratocaster pickup query
Not that it matters too much now that it's sold, but if you believe the site below (which personally I am inclined to do based on various other forum posts I found), this guitar is a bit of an oddball that was only sold for a couple years. Pieced together from MIM and "Eastern" parts...as...

Re: pictures of your gear here
I used to use an HH VS Musician solid state amp into an Altec 15" guitar-voiced speaker in an open-back cabinet. I thought it sounded fine. The other guitarist told me it sounded crap.
Mind you, he was trying to sell me his De Ville.

Re: First song recorded with our current band
I tried listening on my laptop which has half-decent speakers.. still couldn't hear the bass but this morning I hooked up the laptop to the stereo and played it through some big old Kef Calinda speakers
I do think the bass should come up a bit.

Listening to it on the tablet I enjoyed it but couldn't hear any bass. I'll listen to it again on a decent system.

Rathbone No. 1
I popped down to look at acoustic guitars in Guitar Village for an hour today and came away with an itch for a Rathbone short scale acoustic. http://guitarvillage.co.uk/product/rathbone-no-1-mahogany-natural Guitar Village's ad says it's 36" scale  but the brand website says otherwise. h...
