Awesome!

Although I usually only like tort on sunbursts, I think it goes well with the blue paint job on this one. Nice!

Are the switches wired with the standard Mustang on/off/phase setup?

Re: SX JM bass

Looks ok! I had one of their strats and the neck was horrible! But If I had some extra cash, I'd buy it and do a neck swap. JM Bass Neck swap might be expensive, 30" scale bass necks are hard to come by, I don't think Warmoth makes them either. I really want a short scale bass, too. I'm planni...

If you take it apart, you might also see remnants of the original paint job in the neck pocket and pickup cavities.

Oops, just noticed that the pickguard is pearl, and not plain. So it's not a 70's one. What's the date stamp on the neck heel?

Dude, this is the epitome of awesomeness. Assuming the pickguard is original, I'm guessing that this is an early 70s mustang?

That guitar will look killer with a new paintjob!

Holy crap... this is great news! I've bitched and whined in the past about Fender not making Mexican offsets. Now, I think I'm starting to regain my faith in Fender. I'm curious, though... what is this "improved" version of the adjust-o-matic bridge? I hope that it has roller saddles, beca...

also, I think the warmoth 24" necks are conversion necks designed for guitars that normally use a 25.5" neck so the scale is slightly different than a guitar that was designed for a normal 24" neck. still it could easily be close enough that you could just adjust the saddles to compe...

Check ebay on a daily basis. Most sellers seem to think mustangs are worth a small fortune, but every now and then a more reasonable person puts one up for sale at a decent price. Last fall, I bought a nice 1976 ash bodied mustang with a maple fingerboard, and with minimal wear, for a BIN of $750. A...

How are the pickups on the Mustang bass RI's? Do they sound like the vintage ones? The Japanese websites say they are "duncan designed". Which seems weird to me, because if they're like the vintage ones, then they should be called "Leo Fender Designed", shouldn't they? I've reall...

They don't have any cool jag/JM inspired guitars (except that lame offset strat thing). If they did, I'd order one. I wonder if their luthiers take requests?

Isn't there a thread somewhere on the forum that shows how to do a proper mustang setup? I tried searching and couldn't find it, but I know it exists somewhere, 'cause I used it when I first got my mustang. A proper setup will do wonders to your 'stang, and you won't need to change anything or add b...

$110 bux to have it shipped here. I got lucky with customs, she declared the value @ $100, so I should have had to pay but hey who am I to question Canada customs practices..... Canada customs are never consistent. I think they spin a wheel or pick numbers from a hat when deciding if/how much custo...

Hey Tribi9, how much did the shipping to Canada cost?

The tuners look like somebody scratched the word Fender on with a pen knife!

Awesome guitar, though. Surprising the pickups are actually good!

Looks like another sorta-but-not-exactly LP type guitar. Needs a single coil in the neck, and maybe a better headstock to look cool (in my opinion).
