The low E string doesnt line up with the humbuckers too well, from the ones I've seen. Like with the Jag-Stang humbucker. Fender only wants the "fender high end" to come through? I guess there are ways to solve this problem.

No, seriously I have tried the thing without tape, and it didnt work for me. I have a heavy hand at times and that just fucks it all up.
Is that blue, custom Jag/stang of yours up and running yet Hurb?? Its a crime to let that thing sit in pieces!

So after leaving a .42 low E string on for about an hour, I think it solved the problem! I'm gonna just switch to normal .10's and see how that goes. One thing I did notice was that the rest of the strings became a little more flabby with a lighter low E on there. I hope theres not a problem with th...

Sounds like yr doing everything right. Is this a consistent problem, or could it just be a bad string? I would suspect strings first, then maybe the tuner. Sometimes the washer that keeps tension on the key part degrades or gets flattened and allows the gear to slip. Thanks for the reply Duo! This ...

'65 Jaguar problem.

So I have a '65 Jag that is having a problem with keeping the low E string in tune. There is a crack in the headstock that seems to be solid and hasn't gotten worse in the years I have owned the guitar. Robert (OG) assured me that if the crack doesn't open up if you push it that it shouldnt be worri...

Yeah no shit. Squire has defiantly gotten better since I had one (I dont think of the first Jagmasters as Squires) Mine is in pieces somewhere, my moms house i think. I cracked it at the wall this one time being sick of the sharp frets and the wood looked liked plywood. Seriously. It was light black...

What are those made from anyway?

My first guitar was a Squire strat 2. The thiner ones, not like the original ones that were like Mexican strats. Anyway, it was made of shite!

i know a lot of people like those SX jazzies. personally i HAET them. they look so fucking wack. my friend has one. he says the trem is horrible, if you use it at all everything goes out of tune. Their necks have shitty fretwork! But so do Squires. The ones I've played. Thats not a problem though R...

Yeah, that fucking eBay prick claims he's never seen a Jaguar before the one has now has, a vintage Jag no less. And with mod's like those, it's clear he was after the Sonic youth/Nirvana setup.
