Re: Always on pedals, a popular option?

I have a Carl Martin compressor/limiter always running.
Besides that, I think the Memory Man is practically on most of the time, as well as just a touch of reverb from the Mr. Black Supermoon.

Re: Boss OS-2, anyone tried one?

Anyone got any experience with the OS-2? Online it says they can be bright or tricky to dial in. I was about to grab an sd-1 again after thom’s recommendation but this OS-2 is local for £30 and didn’t know if it’s a worth a punt. Used to be my main driver for years before replacing it with 2 Carl M...

Re: In search of the list cord

I have used George L’s for probably more than 15 years and they are great for ease of adjusting length and customising boards as they are solderless. However about 2 years ago I started using EBS Gold patch cables as they have the lowest profile of any I have found. It often means I can fit an extr...

Re: Anyone have an original Deluxe Memory Man

I do but shipping from/to Athens would be stupid, and not even sure it is even possible to send without getting stuck in customs.

Strong and stable

Re: 2021: A Year in Gear

Just realized that I did not sell or, more importantly, buy any musical equipment during the last year. Instead, I invested in: A cordless screwdriver A cordless angle grinder A new car (Ford Puma) Kitchenaid mixer Sofa and armchair Living room carpet What am I turning into? (My son got me p...

Too bad it doesn't have a knob for the modulation rate. FR, that's one reason I've steered clear of DMM-style circuits; I want wobble control, damnit I'd be curious to know if the blend goes full wet and delay goes low enough to kinda make this a standalone vibrato... http://www.ehx.com/products/na...

Just for reference, boy has a 2000€ parrot.

Thanks for the suggestions. Taking a look in Thomann website I have narrowed down the selection to these three options (he wants a black guitar) Hagstrom Ultra Max http://m.thomann.de/gr/hagstrom_ultra_max_black_satin.htm?o=27&search=1602606679 Schecter solo II http://m.thomann.de/gr/schecter_so...

Suggestions for junior player

I was asked by my boss to suggest few guitars for his 11 year old son. Boy likes the Les Paul design and is into playing old school rock, Scorpions, Maiden, Acdc, Metallica, etc. Budget is 1500€ max but a nice decent model with less money is also an option. A friend of the boy told him PRS are...

If memory serves well, all dirt on our Angel B album back in 06 was recorded with an OS2. Great trusty pedal.

I think we even ran the baritone jaguar through it for the bass tonez on this one.

Yeah, the demo guy is pro AF but it's never anything past the mid 90s in terms of sounds or ideas. Ah well, they gotta appeal to the masses, but maybe get someone who's listened to music since then to demo things.. I guess if you're lacking the kind of additional FX that the SE+ offers, it could be...

Re: Vox Pops

Soooooo I keep thinking about buying a Vox, more likely a smallish tube combo than anything else, likely AC15C1 or AC10C1. Trying that AC10C1 out last month and spending too much time in 'DIRTY BRIT' mode on my amp sim app has got me breathin' hard. Talk to me. Bad experiences? Good ones? Hints, ti...
