hey, cool project. wow, I never realized they were so big either.

yea, use a multimeter to figure out which one has the higher ohms. but maybe fender never made them like that and they're interchangeable. It's likely since since CBS did anything to cut costs.

isn't the p-bass basically the first bass guitar? before that people just played upright bass? if it wasn't the first, it was the first to popularize the idea. It's one of those instruments that changed music history.

this is what I have:

the L-pad + the enclosure were $17 including shipping from parts express. the jacks and wire is just some that I had around. knobs/washers/bits/bobs came with the L-pad.

Volume Attenuator cont...

Ok, I got the L-pad. but I'm wondering should I wire it just like a normal volume pot? the input signal going to one of the outer lugs, the output coming from the middle lug and the other lug grounded? that would work right? my amplifier won't blow up right? :lol:

actually, looking at it again, those are linear too. all the other pots there are smooth shaft.... I'm confused....
