Re: pictures of your guitars here

Not the most adventurous collection of guitars...but you can't say I don't know what I like. http://i.ibb.co/5TGbnpc/PXL-20230227-132313394-2.jpg svgpic Just saw this cheeky blue number and it reminded me of Hurb's cheeky red number: Screenshot 2023-03-31 at 15.51.07.png http://www.reddit.com/r/off...

Re: Guitar woods and tone

Two of the same model guitar will sound different given different pickup heights and pot/cap values. Comparing a LP to an SG has so many possible factors there. I dug up the vid. Listen for yourself. I know most people won't sit for 20 minutes and watch the whole thing, so I set it to the end of it...

CSIDMAN, sickkkk - wanna have a go on one of these sometime, I like that at its heart, it's still 'normal' delay that you can fuck with. Love the super angry RUSHING FEEDBACK sound here: http://youtu.be/9xv4koH3J1k?t=443 Still kinda miss my Malekko Charlie Foxtrot, I feel like I'd appreciate it ever...

Re: Marshall Pedal Reissues

I never clocked the OG Guvnor (and also the reissue apparently) had a loop- that's pretty sick for such an old pedal

The HOG2 rules, I kinda miss my one but it's such a whopping footprint:how-often-it's-used ratio, had to let it fly.

Re: Marshall Pedal Reissues

I'm amazed it took them so long to reissue the OG Bluesbreaker, especially given the fact there's whole companies powered by tweaked clones of it.

Oh yeah, how could I forget! The ol' backbreaker. I still wanna saw the top half off it for the Devo-style weight relief:

Re: SHORTSCALEGEARDEMO VOX MV 50

While that’s true in the “intended use” sense, a lot of people do use them to bolster the tone of boring sounding amps. I use an American or British Sound into a Bassman Ten because that amp otherwise has pretty much nothing cool going on, and teh Kurtdz’s dirty tone for the In Utero touring era wa...

Re: 20-40w tube amps - what do we like SS?

50w is too big for most gigs. You take that back. Aye, this; if you need a 100% clean tone (as a pedal platform or whatever), 100w is a good ballpark figure. I gigged with a 50w tube Marshall for years and, even with higher headroom EL34s, it still got crunchy at gig volumes. Screenshot 2023-02-03 ...
