Re: Jam Origin MIDI Guitar 2

I messed around with a free version a while back, I wonder if it's got a bit steadier since (this is from 2018):

Re: What’s your favourite baritone/extended scale guitar?

I'm tempted to try a baritone at some point. I tune pretty low in Beige Palace and I've always used standard scale guitars up until now, but I'm starting to notice problems with tuning stability. That's more of a 'string gauge' thing, based on my own experiences. As long as you can still intonate i...

Re: NOOB Help: Do I Need a Buffer?

Ah gotcha, wasn't sure, especially with the tuner at the end? I get it (as it makes a nice "completely mute everything" switch), but means you gotta turn off shit to get that PURE TUNING TONE. Horse/courses. Do you often run the Red Llama and/or Red Boost into the FF?? Sounds like it would...

Re: NOOB Help: Do I Need a Buffer?

I mean, ultimately, you don't NEED to, right? It's just about keeping top end in your signal. If it doesn't bother you, then shrug emoji? What order are they in? As someone who likes top end a lot, I'd definitely put a buffer as near to the start of your signal as possible, maybe after the FF if it'...

Love it. Needs some wailing lead guitar. I wrote some lyrics for you: "BLOOD ON MYYY HANDS! CURSE OF OEDEN BLINDING MEEEEEE! START TO ATTACK! CRIES PLEA-DING! PLEAAAAA-DING FOR MERCYYYYYYY!" WRESTLE WITH JIIIIIMMY! WRESTLE WITH JIIIIIMMY! WRESTLE WITH JIIIIIMMY! I KILL NEIGHBOURS I KILL A...

Re: RED

My Dakota red Musicmaster II still looks quite red. I think that the yellowing top coat warms up the red a bit. The Fiesta red does tend to go more orange as it yellows. I can’t speak for the Gibsons but if they have time to fade, it means you probably should have busted off the headstock by now an...

Re: 2021: A Year in Gear

I wouldn't stress too much about leakage from open back headphones. It's actually more common than you'd think for people to track vocals in the control room with no headphones and the monitors blaring. David Byrne and Bono definitely both do it, and I'm sure I read something about Prince doing it ...

Looks like me and Rob are Jagbruhs - I found some plain covers online, although I think they're 3D printed so kinda grainy and weird rather than shiny plastic, but a cool 'chalkboard' vibe all the same.

Re: Broken-caster $549

I reckon if it's a guitar you really want, you should talk yourself round to spending the money on the one you actually want, instead of spending most of the same amount of money that is broke to fuck in some weird way. Plus, I wouldn’t trust buying a damaged guitar from someone who hasn’t adjusted...

I did actually did start to feel guilty about this. I posted it before we had heard if you had tested negative or not and thought, oh shit, he’s on his death bed and I’m razzing him about his video output! I thoroughly endorse you razzing me on my deathbed in future; it's what I would've wanted Nah...
