I figured as much. I'm having a flashback to my old Red Witch Fuzzgod, the 'sputter' control... maybe it wasn't just a bias knob. Went from gated to buttery smooth.

mm.

You could have the switch flip between the knob on the outside and a set internal bias trimpot?

Though it seems a bit redundent, does the the fuzz face do anything interesting when you twist the bias?

Cheers for the demo, mike. Definitely does have that half cocked wah thing going on a bit. I'm loving the ridiculous gain.

I can't find it now, but there's a youtube video of a european guy breaking in his speakers by hooking them up to a 9v AC wall adaptor... then just leaving them humming for a few hours wrapped in a duvet. Made a lot more sense to me than blasting music through them all day like some people do.

Yeah, the white pickguard is ugly. ...and the neck is the best part! ha. http://i376.photobucket.com/albums/oo201/cowards_nz/Supersonic.jpg I'm considering routing it for full size p90s. I've had a GFS Mean 90 in a cheap SG copy, it was pretty badass. I have no experience with any of their other pups.

That's fine, man. Just keep me updated via this thread or PM etc.

I usually prefer to run fuzzes off batteries. So I'll go with battery power in addition to the jack, cheers.

Mike, could you make a Meathead?

Apparently its just a si fuzz face with unusual components? :?

I'm looking for a chunky rhythm fuzz of doom I can run into a slightly dirty british amp and it seems to fit the bill.

I found some use out of the HM-2 by turning the gain all the way down, cranking the volume and using it as a boost into a jacked up valve amp. It has an utterly bizarre EQ though, very hard to get right and very easy to mess up with the slightest touch. I also feel like a rude noob for lack of pics,...

My favourite part is where Hetfield's all mad they've been working while he's off doing family stuff, and he says something along the lines of "I feel like I'm being ignored and no one is listening to what I'm saying." and then with a sigh, Kirk Hammett goes "That's how I've felt for ...

I used to have one of the v1 FuzzGods... the chromed germanium ones.
I miss it, as a one-stop-fuzz-shop it had a lot of options.
For lack of a better word, it was almost too 'musical' for my taste, I couldn't get an ugly sound out of it. Even the gated oscillations were pretty.

Old green muffs.
They usually go for between 150-200 $US... depends how many are on ebay at any one time really.

If you can live with the condition and you like the sound, that's an ok price.
Especially if you consider the state of the exchange rate right now.
