Low Profile Jaguar Switches

Hello again shortscalers, I replaced the bridge pickup switch on my jaguar yesterday, but I had totally forgot that the switches on my jag are really low sitting, and now i have one standard Fender one that sticks out loads and is pushing my OCD into overdrive. I've had a scan around the net and can...

I tried that but I seem to remember the string not fitting down the hole in the middle, at least the E string didn't. I'll give it another to when I restring it, but those shortscale bass strings aren't cheap! It's holding tune well so I'm happy for now. I just need to find some compensated MM bass ...

Musicmaster Bass

Finished restoring this bass from a previously battered state. Needed a new pick guard, a sand to get off the god-awful refine, and a quick look at the electronics to get it working. The pickup broke sometime between me first getting it, and getting a new pick guard, but luckily I had a Musicmaster ...

I changed the preamp tubes in my 212 DeVille to 12AT7s as I'd heard it gave more clean headroom. I read it on here http://www.justinholton.com/hotrod/ but that link's died now, sadly. It basically says that doing this does what you're looking for. Results will vary with different amps I imagine, but...

Seen a lot of these from when I first got my Gretsch, they love them on the gretsch forum. THe advantage with them on a gretsch is that the bridge isn't fixed down at all, so it can be moved forwards and backwards a little to get the best intonation. When setting mine up, I intonate the 2 E strings,...

I have a Fender Jaguar baritone that I'm thinking of selling if you're interested? Not really sure how much they go for so I'll have to look into that. Feel free to pm if you're interested :)

Saw these yesterday, I'm definitely going to have to try one out! It would be the perfect guitar for me to gig with, allowing me to leave my precious white falcon at home.

+1 on the bigsby idea, wouldn't be hard to fit either

I've got the japanese baritone jag thing tuned E-e, and I play it through a 2x12 DeVille with a 2x15 Bassman cab. Sounds huge but is WAAAYY loud.

I reckon a 4x10 with the 2x15 would be a better match, but I've never been able to try that out :(

Yeah it's legit and a good price.

The bridge pickup has been hacked for a hambacker, but it's all hidden by the pick guard. I'd ask for more detailed pics of the cracks, but they don't look bad at all.

Plus it's a really nice colour :)

Super nice. I'm not ashamed I do love Bob. Went to his grave earlier this year in Jamaica, he's buried in a big marble casket, with his brother underneath, above ground. His mother's grave is in another building just a few yards away, she died in 2008 I believe. The guides there are hilarious, and t...

That could be why I prefer the jag then, I'm not a small guy like a lot of the Mustang fans here seem to be, but I do enjoy the easier reaches of the 24" scale. Tried a Mustang special and it seemed comically small.

In my mind I'm like, 'yeah this guitar sounds fucking sweet!', while at the same time pondering, 'Can I really look this good playing a guitar!?'.

Just managed to get myself a '74 MM pickup off eBay, looking forward to trying it out!

I thought it was the brass saddles on mine that made it so loud unplugged, but maybe not of yours is loud too.

Looks like we've got twins! Congrats man, didn't take you long haha. How's the stock pickup in yours sound? I've been thinking about getting an antiquity pickup of some sort for mine, as I can't really get used to the humbucker sound of mine. When it's tapped it sounds much nicer, so I'm guessing a ...

Sweet, ill look them up! I'm guessing its not a 'tone sucker' like I've read many times about behringer pedals. Not that it would make much difference anyway cause I'm playing at such low volumes
