yeah the tremolo was def the culprit... blocking it solved the stayin-in-tune problem-- the nut has been aggressively filed but im kinda enjoying the super low action-- jury still out on whether i wanna replace it yet heres a thing though-- the pups are really loose/wiggly feeling. is this normal? :...

Half the time when a guitar has tuning issues, putting on a new set of strings and just doing a careful setup gets rid of most problems. Guitar doesn't even have an A string. I'd definitely suggest restringing. I think black Jagmasters really only need that one mod, you know, the tortoiseshell guar...

well, the nut has been filed pretty thoroughly-- the setup was decent-- low action, no buzz... I'm gonna start by blaming the tremolo-- is an extra spring better than jamming a stick into the trem cavity? I don't have a tremolo bar for it so its not like I can use it anyway. I have heard good things...

jagmaster, y'all http://i.imgur.com/vQrHN.jpg Bought it off Craigslist for 180, used, and it was probably more than I should have spent for a used squier, but I really wanted a guitar NOW, and it feels worth it. its light, the neck is great, the pickups are... not embarrassing, but I'll probably swa...

Phew... so I played the pawnshop mustang @ GC... and it was fairly awesome-- definitely would be my choice if it was half the price. They didn't have any of the cij hh jaguar specials in stock, so I still haven't played one of those, but I checked out the blacktop and squier again and also played th...

Well, I'm glad y'all are validating my confusion on this topic... I definitely like the stability of a hardtail, the short scale, and the body shape, etc. Basically an alternative to all the sg/lp clones. My current electric is a squier tele custom w/ p90s and I'm lookin for somethin a little differ...

new jaguar dilemma
Hey guys-- sorry my first post is a question, but I'm desperate for info from some guys who might know more than me Would it be worth it to install new pickups and a TOM bridge on the squier jag or should I pay the extra 200 for the fender jag ? I'm leaning toward paying the extra money for better p...
