I don't think you can do what you want with that switch because you only have one common output (c). Just get the correct 3 way switch. Any guitar store should have one.

One would think that if you ever use the frets on your guitar, the relative placement of the neck PUP would be moving with each chord played. If selected alone, the neck PUP position on the body probably does not matter to much as long is it is in a place where the strings have good movement. The st...

That was sort my idea to beef up the side walls a bit and then run some 3/8 square aluminum tubing just wide of the sound hole but attached to the bridge block and glued to the top as well. probably notched and screwed to side walls and bridge pad. That way it will still be hollow chambered. somethi...

Did you add extra bracing for the 12 string? Or is that how they were built? Been thinking of a convertible with the 12 string neck I picked up, but not sure if it would implode.

once the neck is set up and strings are to tension back off on the neck screws 1 turn, this will draw the neck in snug to the pocket. Often times you will hear a little creaking noise. Then tighten them back up. Your neck will be as snug as it will get and if you have a little gap after that it shou...

I used to use five but have gone down to four while going slightly lighter on the strings over the last few years. Still good, but yeah, I had that revelation when I first started setting up my own guitars. I've set my own up for years, I like light strings on my strat and have always set it to flo...
