Re: you can't just not post for a couple months...

Much appreciated Plops! Turns out home recording ain’t too bad. I just need to learn how to mix now…or convince the band’s guitarist to let me use his much nicer home studio to re-record everything and have him mix it for me  I dunno, I kinda dig the mix; it's got a good raw energy to it, but ...

Re: 2021: A Year in Gear

Huh.
This made me realize that the only thing I've bought this year has been strings and a new drum throne.

Never mind what fuzz for the bass 6 what are you supposed to play on those fellas?!
I play the vast majority of my bass stuff on VI, standard bass lines, more melodic stuff, a bunch of chording... they're versatile.

Reordered my board; had my delay pre-modulation, but I’ve been using the looper more lately and want it running post modulation. Put the delay at the end, but want it at the front for quick switching, hence blank space to access the stereo outputs behind it. http://bestnetworx.com/uploader/fi...

Good demo of how an amp, and what you're playing really influences the sound of a VI. Likewise, I run through my bass amp or guitar amp depending on the role I'm using the VI in. For a while I was biamping into the bass and guitar amp - it sounded great, but the reality of hauling, loading in/tearin...

I have amps with built in tanks (Twin Reverb, AC30), so my own buying has been coloured by that fact, and a love of weirder reverb sounds. Currently I'm running a Walrus Slö, along with a little built in reverb on the Keeley 30ms for bass, and those, plus the amp reverb for guitar - the Keeley an...

$200 isn't terrible for a good uke... I'm not convinced Fender makes good ukes (specific models aside) ;)

Got a strong “I don’t know feeling on it... it’s like a Deluxe P-Bass mashed together with an 80s Ric 400x. I want to like it, but I think I don’t - worst of both worlds deal.

Ball rub or no, 7.25" radius and that lovely blue make the Chrissie Hynde Tele pretty nice.

Thanks for the heads up, I bought a few entries. Yeah, thanks. I snagged some entries on this and Robert Smith's UltraCure. If I managed to win this, perhaps I'll try to sell it on to get one without a signature... I don't listen to Placebo, so don't care about the signature, I'm sure someone else ...

I haven't had issues with most gauges downtuned a step or so on long scale basses. Light in Eb should be fine, even on short scale.
